After watching the brain games, persuasion techniques, I must say the short film was quite exciting. The knowledge and information provided in the film portrays a bigger picture of what really influences the day-to-day decisions that we make. The video explains the techniques that organizations employ to get to sell their ideas or products to their clientele.

To cut a long story short, the video shows three techniques that many establishments use to get to their target consumers. The cast full of talented characters bring in the excitement in the film. First, the narrator gives and interesting view of the ducks and rabbits. When you watch the video for the first time, it might be a bit confusing and one may not understand it. When you watch the movie repeatedly, the person watching develops the thirst to want to know how simple a concept can be, and how complex the brain can make a concept to appear. In the first minute of the play, the producer shows examples of how Priming works. Josh Ackerman who is a persuasion specialist explains what priming entails. He defines priming as a way of bypassing the brains conscious decision making process and going directly to the sub- conscious, so that you see only what you are told.

Josh Ackerman further explains how the expert fallacy technique works. It is very true, that many people always assume that a person who dresses like an expert is an expert. The video shows how, people are willing to spare time to talk to a person dressed in a suit and poses as a journalist. They even listen to the fabricated news that he tells them and get reactions. The same person does not even have time to introduce himself to the same people when he is dressed ordinarily. This difference comes in because many people have associated journalists as sharply dressed men, in suits and ties hence our willingness to entertain them. The expert misconception comes in when we have an image that guides us on the way a person in a certain job description should look like.

The other technique that many people have no idea really exists is the technique of illusion of choice. In his experiment, Apollo Robbins, who is a master of deception, explains how this technique works. It is simple; people are made to think that they were in control of whatever decision they made when in actual sense they were not in control. Instead, individuals were just playing another persons game. Many at time when we make a decision on what we want, the decision is always already made for us. We only play alongside a game whose ending has already been predetermined. In general, the video contains a lot of educative content and very interesting observations. The kind of information conveyed in the television series is one that everyone should be aware of at any point in time. Information attained from the episode could enable individuals to make the right decisions without any influence. Similarly, organizations and firms that are not doing well, sales wise, could adopt one or two tips on how to appeal to its customer base. Overall, the film is quite educative. Therefore, if one was looking for tips on how to be persuasive, be it in the event of seeking a job, or looking for a market for various goods and services then this is the movie for such persons.
