The Narcos is a TV series which is based on a true story on a drug cartel. The show is about DEA and Pablo. The TV portrays a lot of killing and blood, and that is the reason why I selected it. It shows violence and aggression by how/ it demonstrates how Narcos did their business during the 90s. Pablo Escobar is Colombian male aged forty-four years old. He is portrayed of having much power and how he manages to kill a lot of people. It also shows how innocent police officers and politician who try to fight against it are killed for they do not accept bribes from Pablo Escobar. The fourth episode of season two is titled the The Good, The Bad, And the Dead in this episode Pablo kills Colonel Horacio Carrillo Carrillo, and then he smiles at his corpse. Carrillo is the man who Escobar thought that he was Hugo Martinez, the man who wants to bring the Narcas down and therefore he searches for him and kills him. In this episode, there is also a lot of torture which then leads to cold blood murder. The episode may make behave in an aggressive manner so that they can get what they want in life just like Pablo and therefore, this show has a great impact on people (De Choudhury, Monroy-Hernandez, & Mark, 2014).

The second TV show I selected is Criminal Minds because it portrays a lot of scenes of violence. In this TV series the episode, the shows media violence is episode six when we find a male character called the Piano Man named after his skills to play the piano. The man has raped eleven women within five years. The process is horrible and could deter the minds of individuals to cause such harmful action to women. He was called that because he had raped 12 women and they were all bonded with a piano wire, and he played a specific song for each woman after the act. In this episode, this episode of the women this man had raped was worse off than the rest. Her name was Regina, and she was determined to catch her rapists and revenge for the pain and to suffer the man caused her after the rape (Bartol, Curt, & Anne, 2014). Therefore, she decided to return to the bar that her rapist saw her in on one night. Regina does this because she is certain that she would find Bartholomew would in the same bar. When the Piano Man noticed her, he started singing her dedication song, and Regina cries and runs to the bathroom when she remembers what she went through that moment. Afterward, Bartholomew escorts Regina to her, and she makes him unconscious. She then shot him friends hand and abducts Bartholomew taking him to her house where he binds him with a piano wire at a gun point. When she gets in the kitchen, Bartholomew manages to unfold him, and he pushes her on the furniture that hits her badly. He then calls 911 and pretends to be the victim and therefore he is saved by the police. He was raping women from different ages, races, and social class but they were all smokers. The show also demonstrates violence done on Vanessa Campbell, by Bartholomew who kidnaped her from her home. Although he used to rape every woman he did not do this to Vanessa, he did something worse, fatally stifled her using the piano wire which he hand used to bind her, and he ended up killing her. He then dumped Vanessa body, and he left a piece of a neoprene surgical glove in her throat beforehand, so that when the police discover her, they will think she was killed by a Scobie (Bartol, Curt, & Anne, 2014).

The two television shows demonstrate aggression violence and violence in the media. The first episode shows how a drug dealer Pablo kills a man with no mercy. The second television show demonstrates the violence women go through during rape cases. Effects of watching violence on television are many on both children and adults. First, people become less sensitive to the suffering and pain of others. They do not understand nor give weights to people pan because they are used to see people suffer. Second people become more afraid of the people around them. They feel that a person who lives close to them may hurt them causing them pain. They fear being exposed to violence in their daily lives (Kewalramani, Soni, & Alka 2012) Lastly, individuals who are exposed to media violence are at a higher possibility of causing pain towards others and therefore, the media should not show such violence.
