1. Hume the philosopher claims that people would never know cause-effect relationships for what happens in future but would only use past experience to determine certain occurrences for both people and objects. With reference to the nature of human to predict things based on the past experience, the thought experiment about Adam could be interpreted to mean that though Adam was aware that it was wrong to eat fruits from the tree at the centre of the garden, he was not sure of the consequences. According to the story of Adam, he was understandably warned by the creator not to eat from the tree at the centre of the garden. However, his partner Eve was convinced that the fruit was the best of all the fruits from the garden. Adam ate a fruit from the tree against the warning from his creator and that is believed to be the beginning of all sins.

2. People believe that they have a priori insight towards the causal relationships in the case of things dramatically different from those of everyday experience. Most situations are viewed according to any similar past experiences of the same situations; people tend to think that situations would always take similar courses. Nevertheless, in cases where the causal mechanism is supposed to be highly complicated or depends on hidden structure, people often assume that such situations are either special or abnormal. Such situations would be used for future inferences as some people might consider them as miracles. Other situations where the events are familiar, simple, and without apparent hidden structure like collisions and motions of ordinary billiard balls are often considered normal by people as such could be predicted. Since it is easy to predict such situations, it becomes mans favorite and in most cases people believes that they are normal situations for people to experience and predict.

3. Hume argues that people will never have a good reason to believe that a miracle has happened because to most people, the strange things occurring are in one way or another expected. As Hume argues, any abnormal situations occurring against the normally expected situations might be considered as a new experience by people. Such situations are considered normal but treated as new experience by people. Therefore, it is difficult for people to believe in miracles as Hume argues. When Hume talks about miracles in this case, he is referring to any new but strange occurrences in the world. Hume considers strange experiences underwent by people as miracles. He claims that miracles are extraordinary occurrences that are more than normal human experiences that might be witnessed by people. Unlike the views of normal humans, miracles are hard to experience as they rarely occur. He adds that the experience of most people bar them from witnessing the various miracles and to believe in them.4. From the argument of design, Hume argues that design is a creation within a persons mind represented in another image that is a human creation. He argues that man has the capability to design things within his mind and to ultimately represent the designs into various figures like images among other forms of design. His believe and refutation of design falls in his view because he believes that people use their minds more often to control all situations and imaginations. The creation of the designs for instance is one of the creations that make his belief be a reality.
