From time in memorial power has been gotten through terror mainly by inciting fear. Most society have associated politics with fear. Although terrorism has been there since time in memorial the previous events have proved that its a great threat to future development. Nuclear weapons, military armies, diseases religious differences are the greatest pandemics and endemics that trigger terrorism. Terrorism is an anxiety-inspiring technique of recurrent ferocious act, used by distinct people, group or government actors, for personal, illegal or party-political reasons, in divergence with murder the main targets of the activities are not the direct targets. The immediate human victims of violence are generally chosen randomly or selectively from targeted people, and help as communication tool (Straus, Murray A., and Kristi L. Gozjolko). The aims of most terrorism activities are usually to extremely threaten a population, to force a regime or worldwide society to accomplish or refrain from execution of any act or mainly to disrupt or terminating the important political, lawful, economic or social structures of a state or international organization. Involvement of women in terrorism and terrorist organizations has been ignored most of the time by either the media or policy makers its a topic of significance while looking at terrorism today (Pears, Louise Katherine)
Women have been involved in terrorism since its conception and this has generated some of the important questions like how frequent, the importance of their involvement and the uniqueness of their involvement cannot be ignored. People have failed in many times to see women as victims and perpetuators of terrorist activities at the same time. Terrorism is usually viewed as a form of insurgent is performed than other forms of insurgent this is because of its psychological impact. Terrorist organization are targeting women and youth every day to their group. All over history women have partaken in violent revolts, performing planned, supportive and even contest roles in extensive variety of violent undertaking. Many women today continue to sign up for terrorist groups and organizations in the world today. Even though this is happening most people still do not agree with the fact that women are a great part of terrorist evolution in the world today (Singh, Prakarsh, and Olga N. Shemyakina)
In most societies, today, womanhood is about caring, motherliness, peacefulness and interdependence rather than violence. The involvement of women in terrorism is seen as a deviation from them normal. The female terrorist and suicide bombers most of the time misuse societal sensibilities and disturbs conventional insights of women as clean acquitted and non-violent. They have taken advantage of this perceptions and beliefs hence the rising numbers of women involvement in terrorism today (Huckerby, Jayne)
Studies show that almost 26% of all terrorist occurrences between 1981 and 2001 to a larger extend had the involvement of women. This rate has since then been rising and up to date a very large percent of women are still involvement in terrorist activities. The causes of women involvement re very diverse and differ from one group to another. One of the most profound one being money. In our society, today women are the bread winners and due to the economic pressure, they result to activities such as terrorism. The terrorist organizations promise very attractive sums of money to the women which they eventually may or may not give. Apart from that, women as we said earlier, look very innocent and peaceful from the societal point of view hence he organizer terrorism use this opportunity to strike their deals. ( Pears, Louise Katherine )This outstanding invention of using women as bombers began by the Kurdish terrorists in Turkey in 1996-1999 and made common by Palestinians from January 2002 and this has been accepted and promoted by all religiously motivated terrorist. The Islamic religion has had divided opinions over this matter as some are in support of jihad while others do not. Most Islamic teachers claim that Islam means peace hence the opposite is not true (Huckerby, Jayne C., and Margaret L. Satterthwaite)
What can we say then reach regarding women contribution in suicide violence and terrorist groups? It is that the world must awaken, security representatives and policy menders and mass media should halt giving womens vigorous contribution in terrorist suicide process and organizations as unconventionality and unusual. Somewhat it ought to be seen for what it is; a mindful decision taken by a conscious individual who know the cost and consequences of such deeds, equal as the usual male terrorist. If women are continually viewed and seen through pigeonhole gender lenses as the feebler sex, terrorist organizations will continue to exploit this deficiency in societys perspective and wreak havoc on the society through using women suicide bombers(Gentry, Caron E., and Laura Sjoberg)
