Throughout the course, I have learned a vast majority of medical terms that will help me in my career. Medical terminology is active in the health care profession as it ensures efficient communication between practitioners. As a student, I believe that learning medical phrases will help me to prepare for a new job in the medical field. The paper discusses how I plan to learn medical terms, exercises that give me a hand to learn phrases, and aspects that I found difficult during the course.
I plan to continue learning medical terminology by attending more classes. Also, I intend to study more medical terms during my free hours to further my understanding. During my free hours study, I plan to come up with a table that has two rows and as many columns as possible to review medical definitions and their meaning. More so, I intend to make the textbooks my best friend. Textbooks will help me to memorize terms because of their clear way of presenting information. Moreover, I intend to purchase a medical dictionary to learn more words. Cerny, 2008 p.40 affirms that the best way to achieve satisfactory results when studying phrases is to consult a medical dictionary. In addition to planning, I intend to incorporate exercises that help me enrich my knowledge in terms.
One of the exercises that I can do to continue learning about medical terminology are grouping with classmates to take weekly quizzes. Additionally, I can practice and use medical terms in my sentences in particular situations. As well, I can download medical terminology applications on Google play or IOS to help me understand the language of medicine. Furthermore, I can take a self-assessment exercise online by associating each suffix with its meaning by dragging it into the correct answer box. More to the point, I can take a dictation exercise online, where the computer robot utters a word, and I write the correct spelling of the word, I believe that the exercise will improve not only my learning but also my grammar. In as much as I have exercises in place to help me improve my understanding of terminology, I still find some aspects challenging.
One element that I found most difficult in medical terminology is the pronunciation and spelling. I believe that I can improve that aspect by making a list of words that I have trouble with spelling. Then, I would read the word out loud a couple of times until I know the correct spelling and pronunciation. Also, phonetic dictionaries can be of help when it comes to an understanding of pronunciation of medical phrases. Moreover, playing word games with my peers can assist me to spell and pronounce the phrases correctly. Most importantly, I know that reading textbooks and medical dictionaries will improve my problem.
In summary, medical phrases are useful to students who pursue medicine because they will help them in their professional development. For instance, I believe that full awareness and intellectual capacity of medical terms will help me during my internship as well as full-term career. I know that I will never be caught off-guard when a clinician or physician approaches me with a particular term. In general, since I want to become more competent and intelligent, I have no choice but to have a strong understanding of medical terminology.

- During American civil war, the North had historically been identified as states that were free and ones which opposed Confederacy and slavery. The struggle against secession as well as slavery obscured the reality. As early as 1796, the terms South and North were used as a warning against dangers of political differences which existed bringing forth prevalence of unions in the North more than the South. In the North, West, and Midwest states, development was majorly characterized by a system of agricultural diversity, commercial vigor, and free labor. Towards the end of World War 11, labor and politics in the North West, and Midwest states were having a unionization rate of approximately 40 per cent (Timothy, 2006). The New Deal party was favoring formation of Unions unlike in the South. The party was also promoting formation and growth of bill of rights of the North economy and National health insurance. In the Southern, there was low unionization rate and also the political climate did not favor the formation of unions. The Southern reactionary politics had pulled the political economy of America to the right, hence becoming a barrier to the establishment of a social welfare style similar to that of Europe and also undermined the formation of unions and wages of unions in the South (Peter, 2017).
