Background of the problem
In 2014 the Saudi Arabia government tried to imprison and convict human rights activist and political dissidents on account of the peaceful activities they conducted in the country. Moreover, systematic discrimination against religious minority and women has escalated in the country over the past few years. Moreover, the authorities have failed to enact law and measure that protect the human rights of over 9 million foreign workers working in the country (Amnesty International 2017). Additionally, over the last ten year, the authorities have subjected more that thousands of individuals to arbitrary detentions and unfair trials. Similarly, the new anti-terrorism law and regulation that were effected in 2014 have seemed to be biased as they have criminalized any form of peaceful demonstrations.
Problem statement, purpose statement, and Question
Human rights and international law violation have increased in Saudi Arabia over the past few years with the detention of human rights activist and political dissident. Furthermore, the foreign workers working in the nation have received their share of the wrath with some of the be killed and mistreated by their employers and the authorities. This has resulted in an outcry by the UN and other human rights organizations (Mutasah 2016). The purpose of the study is to determine whether the government has conducted due diligence in ensuring the protection of the foreign workers and whether the justice system in the country is fair.
Research design and context
The research mainly concerns the human right and international law in Saudi Arabia and its relation with other nations around the world. The paper looks at previous researchers on the topic and data from the United Nations on the same. Moreover, the article looks at the judicial system records to determine whether the justice system is bias or not. Mainly, the paper is concerned with information that has happen between 2000 and 2017. Moreover, the primary context of the research is human rights violation, the justice system, and the international relation of Saudi Arabia with other nations.

Consequently, it helps unearth any strategies used by the authorities to discriminate the human rights activist (Butler 2015). Activist are an important part of the of the society as they help in keeping the government in check by ensuring that human rights are not violated.
The authorities in Saudi Arabia have turned a blind eye on the on the human right where they have implemented laws that result in a violation of human right. Consequently, the justice system has been biased in the provision of justice regarding political detentions.
