Introduction

This paper will tend to talk about the various parts of the brain i.e. hippocampus, frontal lobe, parietal lobe and amygdala with their definitions. Other than that, the writing will further touch on their neurological features and functions as well. Under this, the paper shall also cover the most important features of the brain for instance somatosensory cortex among other features.

Hippocampus

According to (Paul MacLean, 1952) within the limbic system, this small curved brain formation called hippocampus plays a significant role and many people will agree with me on this. However, this brain formation is also associated with learning and emotions as part of daily body routines.

Neurological Features and Functions

It is important to be aware that, this part of the brain is associated with some key roles, i.e. organizational, formational and storage of new memories. No wonder both sensation and emotions to these memories are connected. To mention; the subregions of the hippocampus which plays some critical roles about memories, whereby, it involves the processing of spatial memories which is usually being carried out through the rear part of the hippocampus. Secondly, one should also note that, the hippocampus amnesia is not left behind in support of essential insights provision into the organization of human consciousness and brain instantiation not left behind. To ensure that our daily interactions are properly coordinated, the perirhinal cortex and parahippocampal cortex are very vital to ensure that this takes place.

Moving further, concerning relational representation, the availability of the two hallmark features aids in the strong experience representation. Additionally, reconstruction, search, and recombination are also being coordinated by the flexible experience. And therefore, there is a possibility of information being searched and accessed across systems of processing. Along similar lines, the conscious memory being flexible in nature has also rendered some kind of intimacy with concern to memory literature, hence allowing past events being reconstructed.

Parietal Lobe

It is a surprise that many people are not aware that, within the cerebral cortex, this is one of the four regions or central portions. They are so critical to their functions and processing of sensory information as well. Its work is to coordinate body awareness and orientation of spatial understanding as well. No wonder this part of the brain play some significant roles as far as my knowledge is concerned.

Neurological Features and Functions of the Parietal Lobe

The parietal lobe has got some neurological features and their functions as well. For instance, the somatosensory cortex being a feature, is usually ideal for touch sensation processes. Consequently, this can undoubtedly prove the reason as to why it aids in the location of a touch identification and typically characterized by some discrimination concerning temperature and pain.

Other than that, some regions such as motor cortex also play some key roles. For example, during the process of combing your hair, door opening and proper position of tongue and limb not left behind. To me, this is amazing. Furthermore, they are also vital in the provision of adequate navigation and spatial orientation understanding. And therefore, now it is clear to me that body positioning, location and movement of the body as well. However, it is also essential to note that, it helps in visual perception, mathematical computation reading and writing not left behind. An along similar lines, the interpretation and all the processes of sensory information which guides in decision making and problem solving capabilities all these are being done by Cerebral Cortex.

The Amygdala

This is a nervous tissue that is almond- shaped located in the temporal side of the lobe of the brain.Notably, within the human mind, they are usually two with each one on every side of the brain. As far as researches are concerned, this part of the brain is believed to be that part of the limbic system meant for emotions memory and instincts. Worth mentioning, the emotions such as anger, fear are usually associated with this organ, and therefore one can now study the behavior of each.

Moving further, with regards to sexual activity in humans (Bradley Anawalt, M.D) it plays some critical roles in libido and sexual activity. This would mean that, the operation of hormonal activity in gender, for instance, low testosterone in males or male subjection to castration are usually associated with small amygdala which later results in a lower sex drive. Does it mean that, this is the reason as to why some individual is not for this act? Along similar lines, sexual activity differences are entirely based on this organ. More significantly, in males it is so vital as opposed to females, this is due to the brain differences in both gender (S.Adam Ramin) surgeon in Los Angeles.

Frontal Lobe

This is the part of the brain called cerebral cortex. It is divided into left and right frontal cortex. I believe many people may not be aware that this part of the brain has got its location in the front of the head. Not only that, but this part of the brain is also located under the frontal skull bone. According to (Bruce L. Miller, 2007) this part of the brain defines all the traits about human existence either socially or individually.

Neurological Features and Functions of the Frontal Lobe

The Boca's region part of the frontal lobe has made both language and speech production easier. To achieve this, thoughts have been consolidated into words. Keen enough, any damage to this part of the brain may deny one able to comprehend or decipher language and thus make a speech that is meaningless. Secondly, this part of the brain has an executive control usually meant for ability measurement concerning environmental responses. Other than that, human thinking has also been controlled by this part of the brain to avoid thoughts destructions. Furthermore, the motor cortex has made walking and running as voluntary movements in mammals, and lastly, the speed of work has also ben facilitated by inferior frontal gyrus and temperamental cortex towards daily human undertakings

Conclusions

With regard to the fact that brain is one of the key organs in support of life .Therefore, it calls for a lot of precautions to ensure that brain is highly protected from any damage since this may result in permanent damage to the brain a lot of body coordination may not functional
