The ban of selling of organs led to the birth of black markets which many people fear because it is risky and unsure whether the organs are healthy. People sell their organs through the black market because they want to get money out of their organs which the government has denied them. There are people willing to donate the organs but because they can't sell they just decide to stay with their organs which has led to continuous death of the sick because of lesser and lesser organs. The organs from the deceased lead to the death of more patients because one can wait for a very long time before the person who guaranteed to donate after death is dead. Another reason is that a person needs a matching donor which is hard to find due to very few donators.

People normally don't want to give out their organs for free. The government might change the rules in a way that ensures that both parties are saved in a way. The kind of deal will lead to more people coming out to save lives in order to solve their own problems also which is mostly money related. The government may put up terms that favor both parties. It is true that the ailing patients pass through a lot of pain, trauma and mental pain waiting for the donors and in some cases die a painful death knowing that something could have been done. It is very humiliating to wait for a person's death to get an organ. These organ being waited for might as well fail so there is no assurance. Legalization of use of incentives or inducements may slow the time that the sick persons go through in pain waiting for a donor that he or she might never get.

Change of national policies amendments would be of great help in saving lives. According to Satel's essay, very few people have registered to donate their organs.
