There are different programs that have been identified to help in the mitigation of the threats in aviation industry. Operational Risk Identification and Control program (ORIC) is effective in the proper timing in the identifying and controlling of the ground risks connected to the industry. The program also enables the provision of complex policies and standards reviews of risk management and in the discovery of the chances of reducing the likelihood of loss incidents. The Operational Risk Management (ORM) on the other hand is a safety approach that has methodologies which are supposed to meet the demands for the Safety Management System (SMS) to enable the identification and prevention of the hazards as soon as possible.

The control measures undertaken in the mitigation of the dangers that occur in the aviation industries can either be proactive or reactive in terms of their identification. These controls are engineering and administrative controls. The engineering controls entails the implementation of the physical change in the industry to lessen the risks on the work being done (De Angelis, 2011). For example, using a device for lifting heavy loads or objects hence limiting the force exertion. Administration controls alternatively involves the establishments of procedures which enables the reduction of the risks. For instance, promoting an order in the industry that aviations heavy loads in the industry to be lifted by only two people to allow limitation of the force exertion.

Furthermore, some other controls that can be recommended to optimize the workers safety may include ensuring that those working are wearing good gloves with thermal fitting that would ensure their protection during the cold periods. The company should also value the human life and hence proper treatment should be offered to the workers if at all there is outbreak of an infectious disease. Moreover, the government should play important roles in the ensuring the safety of the workers in the industry. This may be through the initiation of the security program which involves the combination of laws and regulations and giving of the resources to industry to curb the cases of terrorism and any other criminal act that might take place around the premise.
