Introduction
Various attacks have been witnessed across the world with several people becoming victims by either dyeing or being seriously injured. The level of security across countries has gone down following high number of reports about how various terror groups are sprouting across the nation as well as the existing ones becoming stronger forming a foundation in several countries across the world. The most recent attack that went viral across the continents is the Sri Lanka bombing attack where 100 people were killed and up to 400 seriously injured. The main aim of this report thus is to focus vividly on this report where a huge number of people fell victims on the verge of the Easter holiday.
It was tragic individuals across the world waking up to tragic news that a bombing had happened in Sri Lanka killing a huge number of people. It was even more sad to Christian as it alleged that this was a plot against the Christian religion and community in general (Kapferer , pg 97) . This follows various alleged threats against the Christians communities in the area. A series of coordinated bombings were experienced and according to various analyses and theories, the main reasons are likely to be as a result of civil and religious conflict in the area. According to the most recent investigations, however, the bombings are related to one, Abdul Lathief Jameel Mohamed, who in the year 2007 was a student in the United Kingdom (Rotberg, pg 126). According to the investigation, ISIS, through Abdul might have been the actors behind the tragic befall.
Considering that this is a very recent situation, most investigations are still underway to support the speculations and the theories brought about regarding the bombing scenarios. it is however evident according to personal analysis that the situation is most likely civil based following the records of warnings presented to the Christians in the country for instance (Thiranagama, pg 64). The threats and warnings can clearly suggest the reasons for bombing as this was the ideal time when Christians across the world were celebrating the Easter holidays. This therefore is the most probable analysis justifying the actors behind the bombing.
Considering that the event caused a huge paranoia, various measures are being taken by both the citizens and government to help resolve the whole situation. An interview with the prime minister revealed that measures like serious investigations are underway and support is being provided to the families that are affected by the attack (Kapferer , pg 97). The citizens are also supporting those affected in various ways like providing water and food to those who mourn and are displaced resulting from the bombing.
Both emotionally and psychologically, the citizens and the government have taken measures to help console the affected through the above-mentioned measures. The government, however, still has a huge responsibility of determining the actors behind the terror attack and bringing justice to those affected. This can be achieved by the help of other super power nations like the United States which can extend a helping hand during investigations.
