Introduction

In the movie "Raiders of the Lost Art" in the episode "Monuments Men" involves a group of people that have agreed to put themselves in danger to save the arts that are important to the country. The Monument Men arrive in Normandy and have to reach Germany to find the place where the art has been hidden. The mission to find the art is not easy, but they find help from a French woman named Claire who agrees to assist them to track down the location. But the issue is whether they can get to the arts before the Hitler Nero Decree. Like in the movie, people spend a lot of time and money trying to recover a lost art so that they can make an essential part of history to be known today. The main aim of the relentless search of arts during the war is for upholding a country's history by avoiding their destruction and theft.

Hitler had an obsession for art even during the war. He sent his troops during the war to collect any art from every place including from churches and people's homes. The thirst for art that Hitler and other leaders had led to the slow disappearance of the arts thus causing teams of historians to begin on their search to save them. The arts are also collected for economic value. People are in such for the arts so that they can sell them back to the government and the community at a higher price. However, from the movie, the group that sets in search for the art conduct the process to avoid them being taken away by Hitler for his self-interest instead of helping the community.

The army refuses to cooperate in search of the art, and this pushes Stoke to convince FDR that he can find men to carry out the mission. They are determined to find the artworks that the Nazi were planning to plunder during the war. Claire's help is essential in the search, but the problem comes in when her boss Mr. Viktor finds out that she has been keeping the records to where all the stolen art is taken to. She becomes at a higher risk of losing her life after this discovery by Viktor. The allies later managed to track down and saved some arts, but some remained missing until today.

The arts that are were recovered during the world war were kept for historical purposes. The Nazi could kill to get hold of the arts during the war. They took the arts to undisclosed locations because they needed to benefit from them in many ways including economically. The group in the movie Monuments Men travel far and wide incurring a lot of costs and spending a lot of time during the search. The search is a dangerous plan, and the group ends up losing the lives of the people that mattered to them. They see the journey as worthwhile despite the loses that they have undergone.

Conclusion

The arts collected during the war often stand out from the other works of art because they feature reality of the things that existed in the time they were formed. The war inspired a large amount of creativity from artists across the region. Thus there was the production of many valuable arts collected during the wars. The arts that are war-related were used for many national purposes including for appeal, commemoration to protest and to expose.
