Most of the times they are influenced by their boyfriend or spouse to start using drugs. When a woman gets addicted, her life gets affected more than a mans life who is addicted would. When a pregnant woman uses drugs, it not only affects her but her fetus.

The study was aimed at examining the reasons and the patterns of drinking by veterans. The sample involved soldiers who had and those who did not have post-traumatic stress disorder. The research wanted to find out the relationship between heavy drinking and post-traumatic stress disorder. The article is important to me because I am working on an article that is looking at how drug abuse is affecting the society and the veterans are part of the community.

juvenile detainees: Typology, frequency and association." Criminal behavior and mental health 25.1 (2015): 54-65.

The article is written by Elena Grigorenko from the child study center at Yale University, Laurel Edwards from Yale University in the Department of Psychiatry and John Chaplan. The article was studied which wanted to look at the use of marijuana among youths. It wanted to find out whether the use of marijuana on a frequent basis have effects on the brain. The research is relevant to my article since I would like to write about various drug abuse and their effects. The study found out that people who use marijuana showed an adverse health but the criminal indicators did not differ with the rest of the group.
