The main social problem discussed is the outbreak of measles and other diseases such as mumps because of the anti-vaccination movement. These movements have helped to drive down child's immunization in many states of America increasing the risks of diseases outbreak like measles. This tread comes from the parent show refuse to immunize their children due to different beliefs against vaccination. These parents go ahead and spread these anti-vaccination rumors to another parent who may influence them to stop vaccinating their children. This is a social problem because opposing vaccination increases the spread of the disease in the community. This put the unimmunized children also in risk of contraction other respiratory disorders. This problem is spinning out f control since the parent has come up with different reason of not immunizing their children. It has caused measles to sprung out in other states, and there is a potential this outbreak will be significant. The main problem is the anti-vaccine movement assuming that they are right about the immunization and they spread the untrue rumors to other people putting confusion (Petts 8). If these movements continue to increase in society, it will be a huge problem that will cause many fatal cases. It is also a problem that many parents do not have enough knowledge about the vaccination that is given to their children. The health facilities should ensure that the correct information reaches to all the parents.

How has increased knowledge of this problem impacted your world view?

The increased knowledge about this problem has impacted how I view the world. After reading the article, I have realized that not all information is accurate no matter how well it is praised. People believe in false information without finding the truth first. This has happened to those parents who have been turned by the anti-vaccination movement by believing that immunization would interfere with their children brain. This information is have been proved wrong by the past, but some people still think that this could be true. People do not check how right the information they are passing around (Kata 3780) they like being perceived as the one with the correct information even when it is not true.

My view on the most parent has changed since I have realized most parents do not validate the information about vaccines. They should check the benefits of vaccination before joining the movement that would put their children in danger. The parents should search for more information from health care officials before making any decision that can affect their children and the whole society. People should look for the correct information from the experts, in this case, the doctors, before deciding what to believe. in case of any doubt, parents should ask a question to be sure of the decision they are about to take.

How do you anticipate this new knowledge will impact your actions in the future?

With this new knowledge, I will be careful on future to what kind of people am choosing to believe. It is because I know many people spread false information that may cause a massive disaster in society. In the case of the unfamiliar topic, I will find the correct information from a professional. In the future, I will be careful with the people who spread the wrong information because they can also put you and your children in danger of contraction diseases. This is because they have decided to believe in the news that untrue without any knowledge on the subject. With this knowledge, I will make sure that my children have been immunized to prevent the risks of contracting an infectious disease like measles.

For this problem of the anti-vaccination movement, I will take an act of spreading the correct information. This is because most people in the movement do not know what they are preaching. To minimize these rumors, I will pass the accurate information in every way I can like passing brochures that have more details on the subject. I will also try to answer any question that the parent may have and explain more. This will reduce the number of parents who believe in wrong information for lack of somebody who can educate them. Finding time to explain to a parent who is confused about the immunization with have a huge positive impact on society. The spread of such diseases will reduce, and the fatal cases of children will be minimized.
