Introduction

The body does not store a substantial amount of adenosine triphosphate, but it requires a regular supply of energy. Hence, adenosine triphosphate should be resynthesized regularly. Phosphagen, anaerobic and aerobic glycolysis represent the three energy systems used to resynthesize adenosine triphosphate. Firstly, phosphagen characterizes an energy pathway that utilizes creatine phosphate. It has an extremely high adenosine triphosphate production rate. Creatine phosphate facilitates the reconstitution of adenosine triphosphate after it has been broken down to produce energy. Short high-intensity exercises, such as weight-lifting and sprinting, exploit the phosphagen energy pathway. Secondly, anaerobic glycolysis breaks down glucose to form adenosine triphosphate in the absence of oxygen. It produces adenosine triphosphate rapidly during endurance exercises that require substantial energy bursts, for example, isometrics and plyometrics (Gagliardi, 2019). Lastly, Aerobic glycolysis exemplifies a pathway that needs oxygen to synthesize adenosine triphosphate since fats and carbohydrates are broken down through oxidation. It occurs within the mitochondria, and it is crucial in activities that require continuous energy production. Therefore, aerobic glycolysis is vital in low-intensity and long-duration activities, such as cycling and rowing.

If I was a marathon runner, I could focus on aerobic metabolism to develop adequate energy for the long-distance running. As a marathon runner, I will have to understand the significance of stored carbohydrates in providing the required energy for high to moderate intensity runs for almost 2 hours. As a result, I would incorporate training exercises that improve my muscular and cardiovascular endurance to improve my muscle strength, flexibility, speed, and coordination (Gagliardi, 2019). The muscular and cardiovascular exercises will ensure that as a marathon runner, I have an appropriate body composition and size that will assist me in coping with varying pressure situations. Hence, having a comprehensive understanding of the three energy pathways empowers one to understand their body's energy needs during training. One realizes that the three energy systems are interdepend and each dominates at different times based on the intensity and duration of an activity.

Questions 2.4Sticking one's bottom out and leaning on one leg were the major posture test deviations noted during the evaluations. If one tends to stick out their bottom, it contributes to one having a pronounced lower back curve. However, pregnancy, excessive stomach weight, and wearing high heels contribute to the Donald Duck posture. Thigh stretch, side-lying leg raises, plank, and hip flexor stretches, are main exercises to correct the Donald Duck posture. To correct our standing posture, we had to imagine that we had a string attached to the head, and it is being pulled upwards (NHS, 2019). The concept is to retain a perfect body alignment to maintain the spine's natural curvature with one's shoulder parallel and neck straight with the hips. We had to keep our shoulders relaxed and back, pull in our abdomen, and keep our feet in a hip-distance to balance our weight uniformly on both feet.

Leaning on one leg while standing feels comfortable, especially during breaks of high-intensity exercises. Nonetheless, instead of using our core muscles and buttocks to retain our upright posture, we were placing excessive pressure on one side of our hip and lower back (NHS, 2019). Therefore, one can experience muscle imbalances around the pelvis region that can cause muscular strain in the buttocks and lower back. Bridges, plank, side-lying leg raises exercises to strengthen one's core muscles to assist correct uneven hips.

Posture correction and assessment enables one to understand the chronic pain that one experiences in their shoulders, back, and neck. A proper understanding of poor posture enables to avoid chronic fatigue. Hence, one should adopt an excellent stance to mitigate chronic fatigue that limits an individual's motion range during exercises.
