The sword is a weapon that never lacked in battles. That is what Sauron used to kill the high king Elendi. Gothmog got his arm chopped off by Aragorn and later stabbed by Gimli.

Dagger/ knives

Saruman was stabbed in the back twice by Grima Wormtongue causing him to fall. While on the spike of his wheel, Grima further slit his throat. Unfortunately, his life was not spared as well even after using treachery to kill Saruman. Wormtongue was also stabbed to death by hobbits who had seen him kill Saruman using g the sane weapon he had used. This is a weapon that was primarily used by Gil-galad against Aeglos although it did not stand.

Bow and Arrows

Galadriel gave an arrow as a gift to Legolas prior to the fellowship. Besides, Wormtongue was also stabbed to death by hobbits who had seen him kill Saruman using g the sane weapon he had used. Isildur was killed after being shot with arrows by orcs as he tried to escape with the rings at the river. Merry and Pippin the young hobbits also shot to death unnamed cave Troll. Gordon as stabbed to death in the back as he tried to kill Frodo by Sam who had been watching g his move. Although not clear what caused her death, Shelob may have succumbed to injuries from being slashed in the face, Sam. Madril was injured by an orc and finally stabbed to death by Gothmog.

The Characters

Aragorn- Also referred to using other names like Elessar, Strider, and Dunadan, among others. He was the rightful king of Gondor and the heir of Isildur. He is uniquely characterized by the fact that he was both a healer and a warrior. In the film, a time has now come for Aragorn to reclaim the throne.

Gimli- Gimli is a dwarf of the Lonely Mountain. He is Aragorns companion and a close friend to both the elf and Legolas. He eventually falls in love with Galadriel.

Gandalf- Also known as Gandalf the Grey. He is a famous wizard among the hobbits due to his mischievous sense of humor and fireworks. He acts as a counselor and a guide, and he is the one who reveals the truth about the Ring to Frodo.

Frodo Baggins- Commonly referred to as the Ring-bearer. He is a well-to-do hobbit who reluctantly takes the quest to destroy the One Ring, which he discovers that it is the only one magic ring left to him by Bilbo, his uncle.

Samwise Sam- A Hobbit who is Frodos servant, gardener and close friend on the quest. Sam is characterized by the fact that he is fond of the stories about elves and dragons.

Peregrin Took Pippin- He is one of the many cousins to Frodo. After the fellowship is broken, Pippin eventually becomes a member of the Tower Guard of Minas Tirith.

Meridoc Merry Brandybuck- Also a cousin to Frodo and a member of the fellowship. Well known as the companion of King Theoden of Rohan.

Sauron- Well known as the powerful spirit of evil which takes the form of a disembodied eye with flames. In the films context, he is characterized by his earnest desire for domination, greed, and cruelty. He created the One Ring, as a weapon, a long time ago.

Saruman the White- The appointed head of the wizards. Despite being initially the wisest, he eventually becomes as cruel as Sauron due to greed and lust for power.

Things Learnt from the Characters

The characters, who are portrayed in the ancient time are a depiction of the greed that exists in different kinds of people. In the "Fellowship of the Rings," each one of them took the opportunity they had to create power and use it to benefit their own egocentric desires. Sauron is a depiction of the worst greed for power. He uses his ability to create rings that had magic to make a sturdy ring that would enslave the entire world. Nevertheless, upon losing the ring, Sauron was unable to control it from a distance. Thus, derived from this context, the film is an indicator of the ability to become uncontrollable though purposively created or misuse of power. Besides, everyone's attempt to come across the ring so as to retain it for their own selfish gains shows that there were those people who were enslaved since they did not have a choice. Given a chance, these people would be the worst in perpetuating injustices against the other people.

The theme of greed is also extensively developed when Isildur is unable to control the need to destroy the ring. Similarly, greed made the dwarfs lose their power believing that the nine rings would help them in becoming powerful. Instead, the dwarves end up becoming slaves. He began to imagine the ring's vast potential to better his life and help him clinch his father's seat, as king. However, the ring disempowered him leading him to die. This, in essence, substantiates the fact that, even when there was a struggle for power, there are still those people who are always willing to give up what they have for the benefit of other people. This is also depicted in Evenstar's move to leave her immortality to be with Aargon. The move was aimed at helping him gain control and become king. Treachery is also illustrated in the characters where the nine dwarf were tricked and lost their power in the quest to earn more.
