Introduction
Christians believe that every person was created by God to serve a specific purpose. The primary reason why people live is to find that purpose and know what is required of them by God (Guinness, 2018). However, finding the purpose one was created for is not an easy task. One is needed to be strong, tolerant, and resilient to become what you are meant to be. Sometimes, the journey is scary, but one should never give up. It is for the above reasons that Ralph Waldo Emerson said that "God will not have his work manifest by cowards."According to Ralph, a person must be brave and should step out of the comfort zone and in faith to get to their destiny. Anything that is of great value should be worth working for. Having a purpose in life is worthwhile, and if someone does not seek for it, it shall never be found (Yuckman, 2018). If a person fails to search for the purpose to which they are created, it would be termed as wasting the God-given life. Other people would be let down too. Some people like presidents find their purpose in life and become famous. However, not everyone can be famous by discovering their purpose and worth is crucial nonetheless.
One may discover some hobbies and other fun things they like to do. However, there is always a conviction that tells them that there is more. The thought may be scary, and some ideas in the head may be intimidating. For instance, one may think they are not qualified enough and that nobody is paying attention. Such distractions should not be a barrier in the journey to find one's purpose in life. That is why Ralph urges people to be courageous while looking for their purpose granted to them by God so that they can overcome obstacles.
Good things happen to people who overcome fear. People must strive to be courageous and walk in the truth while embracing their personalities and acknowledging their potential. Being brave in the salvation journey will assist one in realizing God's full glory, and one can achieve their maximum potential without constraints such as fear or intimidation (Yuckman, 2018). Having faith in God while seeking one's purpose in life will result in God manifesting Himself in your life. When a person is a coward and fearful, many good things are blocked from happening. Cowardice blocks positivity and creativity, therefore, preventing God's energy from happening within oneself (Riccio, 2018). God's chosen people can neither be faint-hearted nor slackers. God will pick a person who is courageous and who is not afraid to demonstrate how beautiful His creation is. People should learn how to trust that God created them the way they are for a reason. Therefore, nobody should be afraid to express themselves. God cannot manifest His work in a fearful person as mentioned in the quote by RWE.
