Obesity is the condition in which an individual, is grossly overweight which reduces the individual physical mobility and also increases the risk factor of getting heart problems as well certain types of cancer. Increasing awareness of the problems caused by obesity and its causes can help bring down the cost of healthcare and also improve the health of the people.

Today I am going to highlight the importance of positive lifestyle choices, dieting and exercising as important approaches to resolving obesity-related problems.
I. Obesity is becoming a significant health problem that is affecting many American children and adults.
A. Obesity is no longer considered as a mere lifestyle problem because researchers have found out that obesity increases the risk of getting chronic diseases.
B. Research carried out by the national institute of diabetes and digestive, and kidney diseases have found out that more than two-thirds of American adults are obese whereas 95 percent of the children and adolescents in America are obese.

II. Exercising and dieting are considered as the most effective approaches of battling obesity in the population.

The chosen method of cooking largely determines the quality of food as well as the amount of fat in the food. It is important to choose the method of cooking well to ensure that the prepared food is fats free which are the major causes of obesity.
Foods prepared in fast food joints in schools and other public places are found to have a lot of fats and calories which also increases development of obesity.
Avoiding uncontrolled food eating habits and educating the young people in education institutions and healthcare centers on best practices to reduce obesity can help reduce the number of obese children in America.

Qualified should be hired in community based resource centers to promote diet education.
Increasing education and funding of individuals and institutions that offer dietary education.
The number of specialists offering education in dieting and nutrition are fewer than the population to be served.
The government should support and subsidize the training of dietary people and hire them in health care center to educate the public.
Extra curricula activities instructors should be hired in education institutions to improve the health of the young people.

Experts have argued that obesity increases the cost of healthcare while destroying the quality of lives by increased chances of getting heart problems as well as some types of cancer.
