Outline of My Specific Plan for Preparing For the EMG Position

EMG is a leading international communication consultancy with offices in Europe and Asia. The firm it uses its technical knowledge and communication expertise to promote industrial companies by telling their stories and engaging with their audiences in a compelling way. EMG is truly global as their clients have operations all over the world. It also creates, translates and adapts global programs for local implementation.

Public communication assistant works closely with campaign managers (Egan, 2007). The traditional roles in this position include executing various tasks like Mastering various marketing and advertising concepts, implementing marketing strategies and delivering dynamic presentations, Independently managing territories and Increasing clients' brand awareness and market sharing on a face-to-face platform.

One fundamental concept of communication that I will opt to apply for this position is anchorage. Anchorage is a term used to illustrate how words work upon visual images mainly in advertisements or news photographs (Butler & Berry, 2002). Photographs are potentially open texts; words are used to direct the reader towards a particular point of the picture.

Written or spoken words always operate narrow down the possible range of meanings suggested by advertising images. It ensures a reduction in the potential openness of the picture while seeking to interpret its significance (Egan, 2007). The center role of Anchorage is ideological thus very crucial in ensuring success in promoting a product or company.

I will consider going an extra mile by doing a lot of research to adequately prepare for this position. This ensures that I develop a vivid picture of what I am expected to do. I also intend to interact with individuals in such positions with an aim of gaining more experience (Heath, 2005). To appear the likely candidate landing the job, I will also pick a major in public relation and advertising since the two mainly concentrate on projecting the best image possible for clients.
