In the Baptist Church, there are few symbolic objects. The Baptist faith does not put emphasis on the use of sacred objects to communicate with God. Nonetheless, there are scared objects in the Baptist faith. All the sacred objects used in Baptist faith are symbolic in nature. Two sacred objects used in the Baptist faith are a symbolic representation of Jesus Christ on the cross and a symbolic representation of the Lords Supper. Most Baptist churches have at least a symbolic representation of Jesus Christ on the cross mounted on the outside of the church. Most Baptist churches also have a representation of Jesus Christ on the cross close to a churchs sanctuary. The symbol of Jesus Christ on the cross is used to depict the sacrifice that Jesus Christ had to make to save the human race from eternal death. The symbol of Jesus Christ on the cross is used to remind believers of the Baptist faith about the profound love that God has for Christians. The symbol of Jesus Christ on the cross is used by Baptist faiths pastors, deacons, and professional ministers to encourage human beings to accept the message of salvation. The symbol of the cross is also used in teaching and preaching about the Good News (the message of salvation). The symbol of Jesus Christ means that God had an unfathomable love for human beings that he decided to sacrifice his only begotten son so that human beings do not perish but instead receive eternal life. The message of salvation centers around works of Jesus Christ when He was on earth as a human being, His death, and his resurrection (Blount and Wooddell 37). The symbol of Jesus Christ on the cross is the most important sacred object in the Baptist faith. The symbol of the Lords Supper refers to the last meal that Jesus Christ had with his disciples before he was crucified. Breaking of bread and drinking of wine in the Lords Supper depicted the broken body of Jesus Christ together with the shedding of His blood that was imminent. The Lords Supper represents the struggles and suffering of Jesus Christ when He was on earth as a human being. The symbol of the Lords Supper is used to capture the attention of believers towards the past, present and everlasting works of Jesus Christ (Blount and Wooddell 75).

For the Baptist Church, there is no articulated view of a sacred place. Even though Baptists worship in a building known as a church, the Baptist faith is of the opinion that God is omnipresent and therefore, He can be worshiped from any place (Blount and Wooddell 57). The Baptist faith is emphatic in an unmediated relationship that exists between God and Christians. According to the Baptist faith, God does not listen to prayers of Christians only if they are in certain places. God does also not shower people with His grace only if they are gathered at certain places (Blount and Wooddell 47).However, the faith encourages its believers to construct buildings from where its believers to worship God. The buildings constructed by Baptists are also used for teaching about the word of God, preaching and engaging in other religious activities associated with the Baptist faith. It is not far-fetched to, therefore, say that Baptists believe that every space is sacred and God manifest his grace and works to a believer regardless of where he or she worships from. The Baptist faith is emphatic on the direct relationship that exists between God and Christians. A pulpit is an important place in a Baptist Church because it is from the pulpit pastors, deacons and other professional ministers communicate Gods message to the congregation (the gathering in the Church). Teaching and preaching in Baptist faith mostly occur from the pulpit. In Baptist faith, singing of hymns is led from the pulpit and reading of scripture is led from the pulpit.
