Emotional intelligent refers to the ability of a person to understand why he/she thinks the way is/she does, and so it other people. Emotional intelligence helps on explain actions and helps the individual in thoughts alignment and to guide subsequent actions. In a team setting, emotional intelligence gives facilitates the teamwork in pushing towards the shared goal. These elements ensure the team is united and works harmoniously, by allowing an effective mechanism for problem-solving. Therefore, this is a huge factor to be considered in the business setup for success when working with a team. Thus when these values tend to miss at any employ, the end results might then cause significant harm to the company, the well-being of the individual and even damage the career development of the employ. The Australian Hardware organization which has got big ambitions, as just come to an understanding that, the growth and its success relies on the employees. As per the organization, managers are expected to give various motivational tips like Safety and security. This is intended to improve employees' performance and focus on the team. The company new General Operation Manager gets involved in an issue with Pat which is believed to be one of the elite employees. Pat is seen to be disturbed with something which affects him as well as other employees who feel the urge of following his example but cannot. This has affected the general performance of the organization. Therefore, knowing that Pat can use some essential coaching in his emotional intelligence, so as to improve teamwork among the employees. This paper gives a detailed report on the conversation that took place between The General Operation Manger and Pat, to determine his performance, his situation and the level of job satisfaction.

Why is continuing training or coaching necessary? Pat says that as the world is evolving, then one is also cannot stay at the same place. Therefore, one need to have what keeps his/her mindset expanded to be able to work on newly acquired skills. Thus one has to something fell significant before implementing the new skills learned. And he concludes that, due to al that one need to have a coach or even attend the training session that focuses on emotional intelligence so as to keep focus and have success in whatever one is undertaking. Pat describes his performance as not appealing to anyone. This is because he has lead to losses occurring in the company due to having feelings such as hatred, outrage, confused, lonely, Offended, he feels furious often with his colleagues. At times he feels bold and disappointed. Pat further describes his personal situation as; blaming other people for the problems and errors to do that he undertakes. Also, he says that he don't take given feedback with maximum concentration but always be defensive and at times mutes when sentiments are given. One thing Pat insist is that he don't forgive people easily and being quick to judge others, in what they put on, how they speak and basing on whatever he/she thinks to be right and good. Pat finally says as part of the situations that he don't care whether people like him or not. In considering empathy and listening skills which can be defined as the ability to communicate involving sending and receiving messages, accompanied by getting apparently other people's minds, views and also feelings. The trainer says, improving Empathy and listening skills lead to robust and delightful relationships, making work success and even improving one's health and entirely, life.

Building Pat's awareness of emotional intelligence weaknesses and strengths. This was mainly to find out the natural strengths of Pat and then develop them. One single rule state that, one should strengthen or do with all his heart what he/she is already good at unlike doing and spending a lot of time in doing what you are weak. Developing awareness of emotional intelligence, one can stop wasting time with the intent of pushing aside the emotions and giving them a chance to control. Thus one can know them and uses them to own benefits and people around. Emotional intelligence thus influences strengths by, For example, discovering strengths like being more competitive, real strategic plans and feature planning. Taking, for example, a competent person in a conversation who in every conversation he ties and wins with anybody he comes across. Then if this kind of person could not have awareness, he/she won't realize having this strength.

Pat who is now failing in his performance, as other employees are raising the alarm on this issue expressing that Pat is disrespecting them, this is destroying the team work and thus affects the organization at large. Having coached on self-awareness and empathy, Pat is now capable of realizing his strengths, and having tackled a topic on empathy improves Pat communication competency between him and the peers thus improving their relationship once again and making them have a strong team work thus giving a big hand to the success of the organization.

Pat says that he would like to be a future leader. A goal which is attainable as he is an employ who is driven by the goal, he is also committed and has a potential to be a future leader. But looking at the current reality is that Pat has led to the poor performance of the organization, this can block his way of attaining the seat. He thus needs to have to coach on emotional intelligence since all the experience needed by a leader. Therefore as a manager, I will let Pat attend training on emotional intelligence. If he then performs well from this, I will agree to review his goal, for the best of the team and the organization at large.

Pat also says that he is going to be committed to learning empathy and listening skills. This goal is measurable as he is known to be committed to any goal he sets. The current reality shows that Pat, disrespects his peers having poor communication skills leading to poor performance of the organization. But as a manager, I am going to decide to offer him a chance to get training on empathy and listening skills for the better performance of the whole organization.

In conclusion, the paper has outlined the ten-minute conversation that was held by General Operation Manager and Pat to discuss the issue of underperformance in the organization. It gives various reasons why the training on emotional intelligence was necessary to Pat as a way of improving his performance. This went ahead to create awareness on Pats strength which will help him realize having the strength thus making him more competitive. The paper also covers the commitment placed by put so as to help improve the relationship between his peers and the performance of the company. "Take home."
