In God creation, a human being was the most created in a special way by God since He created them in his image. However, He gave them the authority to rule over all the other things God created. As we now that God is a caring, generous, kind, and honest, He aspect all the human being to have the same qualities since He created them in His image. They should extend these qualities to other people by being just as God loved everything that He created. God created every human being with unique talents that they should use in glorifying God by the vocation they are given. Most Christians fail to recognize their mission due to lack of knowing they were created in Gods likeness.
The image of God is vital in considerate that we are created for a purpose and a given task, that we have to accomplish just as the God finished his work. God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. In Genesis 1:26-27. Out of His image, He created male and female to perfume the specific work that He assigned to them. When they understand that they are set up in God image, get to know their vocation, which they should work towards to accomplish their mission. By understanding that we are of great worth as our creator is enabled us to react in the same way meanwhile, we are made in the image of God (Barth 2015). As God reminds Noah that He created us in his image, though man goes against the will of God through sin he does not move away from them. Genesis 9:6, Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his image.
God created heaven and earth, living and non-living things that He takes pleasure in them and wants them to be fruitful. These shows that God continues to rejoice in His work of creation, May the Lord rejoice in His works, in Psalm 104:31. As man is created in Gods likeness through Gods breath, he is created for a particular vocation (Calvin& Uyl 2016). for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10). When a man realizes, that is created in the Gods image their lives changes and their purpose becomes the basis of their identities. God rejoice to see that person finish their work and vocation, which they are, created to do.
God always gets involved in His creation, as He wants a real relationship with what He created. These are evident in speaking with people such as Abraham, Adam, and Moses by helping, guiding and walking with them and his creation. God reveals himself to man for good works as He did excellent work that He created and will take care of them until completion (Amos 4:13). God establishes paths through which human being follow expecting them to prosper in each and everything that they do (Calvin& Uyl 2016). At the last days of Jesus, He told the disciples that He is going but will send a counselor who is the Holy Spirit to guide them in their vocation. Upon salvation, the Holy Spirit comes to the believers, dwells in them as guidance, and walks in them in the journey to the Lord (Barth 2015). baptizes them with the Spirit (John 14:17).
I have received as a vocation from God as He said to His creation to the ministry for the Lord. This is the path and work that God has set me to follow. Since I know God created me with his image, I believe am part of ministering to the world the word of God (Gonzalez 2014). God personally gave some to be pastors and teachers, (Ephesians 4:11). With this vocation, the belief that God gets involved in His creation is vital since not believing could have influenced negatively by my career and my profession (Grenz & Smith 2015). However, when we understand the meaning of God image to us, we follow his creativity, intelligent and spiritual values that enable us to reach our destination.
Gods humility and love were evident through sending His only son Jesus Christ to save all human beings from sin by dying on the cross. As we are made in Gods likeness, we should extend love and care to other people just as God shown his love in the cross by been hospitable and sensible (Himes & McNeill 2014). Paul reveals to Timothy that their objective is love that comes from a pure heart, and good conscience, and a sincere faith (1 Timothy 1:5). With this work, my purpose is to shepherd and love the church of the Lord such as Jesus loved the church (John 15:13; 1 John 3:16, 17). Furthermore, God subject the creation into futility till the day when human being are restored due to their sin and corruption activities, "when the sons of God are revealed" (Romans 8:19-25).
God in his beautiful creation had a plan and a purpose for all what he created. He revealed this to Jeremiah as he said, For I know the plans I have for youyou will call to Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. (Jeremiah 29:11. 12). He actively pays attention and speaks to those in creation not only to ministers and pastors but also to the believers. As everyone possesses goodness capabilities, we have the potential to express these skills widely.
