Technology has led to new advancements in the law enforcement by enhancing its capabilities through the software of crime mapping. In that case, the agencies use this software to track the jurisdiction crimes as well as the location, time, and date of occurrence is recorded. In such terms, this software of crime mapping is of much importance to the detectives or police report writing as it will enable them to write accurate and evidenced information

(Rosenfeld, & Fornango, 2014). In that regard, through tracing crime location, time and date of occurrence it is even easy to capture criminals involved in the crime scene. By plotting where, when and what type of the offense occurred, the law enforcement can use the result of occurrence which is visually recorded data to identify the hotspots of the offense. Also, departments can allocate the uninformed units of undercover surveillance or officers to patrol in areas where crimes do occur regularly by the use of this information. Moreover, crime mapping software is a useful tool for reporting as it generates the required statistics of the crime to fulfill the URC( Uniformed Crime Report) which are the mandatory requirements. Due to that, technology has led to new advancements in police or detectives report writing of crimes to be easy and accurate. Crime mapping software has different programs that are involved in strategies analysis such as Crime Reports, View, Mapping, Spider Crime Series Analysis, BAIR Analytics, Geographic Profiler, MapInfo, ArcGIS, Crime Stat, GIS/Mapping Software, and Maptitude.

In that connection, every video recorded at every second by an officer can be taken as evidence to provide first-hand information on what happened when they were interacting with the subject. It is easy for officers to get witness and testimony reports for them to take action of using the footage to discover areas that need improvement, review successful arrests, and practice and train where necessary (Worrall, 2014). In that regard, the law enforcement officers, and community members benefit a lot from police cameras. Therefore, technology is considered to be of great importance in both the present and more in the future, as it keeps on advancing every day to the better one. In such terms, the work of detectives or police lately has become much easier as compared to the past. However, it might be difficult for them to handle criminals in future as they are also advancing in their technological crimes. Therefore, they are urged to be more careful in their work even if they saw it as easy one time it might be worse beyond control.
