Human bodies are made up 700 muscles that are attached to the skeletal system and is responsible for body movement. Muscles are made out of nerves, veins, skeletal tissue, and tendons. The human body has three kinds of tissues, namely: cardiac muscle, visceral muscle, and skeletal muscle (Schoenfeld 2859). The skeletal muscles are commonly referred to a voluntary muscle since they optional perform body exercises out of the regular body performance such as walking, speaking or eating (Petrella 1738). Most of these body activities cannot be conducted without the incorporation of body muscles. They are responsible for moving the bones closer to where the muscle is attached. On the other hand, the cardiac muscles are found around the heart. They are responsible for the pumping of blood throughout the human body. The visceral muscles are the weakest kind of muscles. They are responsible for contracting of body organs to enable the movement of substance in the organs such as the esophagus.

Body muscles tend to grow through engaging in body exercise and healthy eating. The body muscles interact with the motor neurons making them contract, and a signal is received such as the lifting of luggage among other tactful activities (Sigel). When this happens, the muscles tend to grow stronger. When one is used to engaging in heavy weight lifting, the body muscles adapt to these tasks, and it makes the muscles contract sending signals to other body parts muscles where the entire energy is channeled (Schoenfeld 2860). Bodywork out enables the body muscles to grow healthy since they get adopted in engaging in heavy tasks. In cases the body muscles fibers are damaged in the process; they are repaired with the help of a cellular process. This process involves the fusion of muscle fibers to create new muscle hypertrophy.

Muscle growth occurs at a rapid rate when the process of protein synthesis is faster than that of protein breakdown. Protein synthesis mostly takes place when the body is under sufficient rest. Besides, for the addition of muscle cells, the satellite cells have to be integrated to work together since they play a vital role in adding of nuclei to the muscle cells, which in turn leads to the growth of myofibrils (Tipton and Robbert 109-111). The growth of muscles requires one to indulge in a load of stress that is greater than what the body is accustomed. This is achieved by engaging in gym activities such as the lifting of heavy weights among other exercises. The damaging and repair and muscle tissue is a progressive way of creating new muscle tissue. Muscle damage leads to the release of inflammatory molecules and more immune system are produced (Sigel), which activate the production of satellite cells.

Besides, proper nutrition also plays a significant role in muscle building, particularly, proteins. Proteins contain amino acids that are used in repairing of body tissue and muscles. Animal products such as eggs and beef are essential sources of proteins (Sigel). For sufficient muscle building, proteins should be included in every diet that one takes. It helps ensure that muscles are sufficiently repaired and built. Besides, choosing the right food, one should have enough rest to allow for muscle growth. It should amount to approximately 8 hours of sleep daily.

In conclusion, muscle growth requires personal discipline and frequent exercise. The body should be exposed to more stress daily than what it is adapted. It enables muscles to damage and repair frequently leading to their growth.
