Tobacco is a stimulant due to its contents such as nicotine and caffeine which speeds up the nervous systems of users. When one uses the substance, they feel like they have more energy and can function much better than when they have not used it. This is because their bodies are dependent on the contents of the drug and tend to become sluggish due to lack of the stimulant. Nicotine increases the heart beat and blood pressures thus making users more active than they usually are (Smokefree, 2016, p.1). As a result, this effect contributes to less productivity.

Most of the Tobacco-related complications are irreversible and require much effort to conquer. Cancer is one of the many serious problems that come as a result of cigarette smoking. Smokers are prone to lung and throat cancer which are dangerous health complications and are quite expensive to treat (Smokefree, 2016, p.1). Such cases have sparked numerous debates about the banning of Tobacco products since almost every person has been directly or indirectly affected by Tobacco use. For instance, at least every family in the world has experienced the impact of Tobacco in various ways such as financial constraints and loss of loved ones. Cancer comes as a result of the toxic smoke that builds layers in the body due to the massive intake of the cigarettes. Cancer is among the many diseases that are extremely severe, thus; the families of the affected persons are left to cope with the high costs of treatment or risk losing their loved ones. These are sad cases, and there is the need to address such issues to prevent more loss of lives and misuse of resources.

Tobacco use affects our reproductive systems and results in premature births. These children are mostly underweight and can develop health complications later in life. These complications may include brain dysfunction, heart defects, and lung disorders. It is risky for expectant mothers to consume tobacco products since the elements of the substance interfere with the well-being of their unborn children. Cyanide is a highly dangerous element and accounts for any pregnancy complication related to Tobacco use. Smoking results in loss of Oxygen and affects the unborn babies due to the smoke which is rich in carbon monoxide and Nicotine (CDC, 2016, P.1). Apart from the complications mentioned above, there are many others including reduced immunity to diseases, weak bones, heart diseases, poor vision, and the list is endless. Based on these reasons, it is evident that many problems are revolving around the use Tobacco, hence; imposing a ban on cigarette and Tobacco use can prevent further problems.

It is surprising that many states in the world have banned the use of Marijuana which is similar to Tobacco and allow Cigarette smoking. The rehabilitation programs of Tobacco users are quite expensive, and only the rich people in society can afford to enroll in the programs (Ash, 2015, p.1). Tobacco products are widely advertised, thus; increasing the population of Tobacco users across the world. Those who oppose Tobacco ban argue that huge sums of revenue are channeled back to counter the impacts of Tobacco use in our societies. These arguments are money driven because business people and governments are not willing to let go of the dirty money gained from Tobacco business. They also argue that people consume the substance at their will and that no one forces them to consume the products. However, to counter these arguments; many Ads that promote the use of Tobacco outshine the antismoking campaigns. Tobacco packets contain warnings that are aimed to stop people from continuing with the consumption. However, a notable trick that is used by Cigarette manufacturers is the use of tiny fonts written at the back of Cigarette packets.

From the billions of money collected from the sale of Cigarettes and other Tobacco products, only a small percentage is spared for the affected people. This is a selfish move by the respective authorities that prioritize financial gains over human health. There is no sense in selling poison to people and use the money to treat the health complications caused by the same. Clearly, the cons of smoking are way above the pros, thus; it is only logical that governments should stop been reluctant and stop this carnage that is destroying many lives. The global community should follow the example of Bhutan and ban all Tobacco related products and prevent more loss of lives to the dangerous substance. In the year 2010, June 26, Bhutan hit the global headlines when it banned all activities involving Tobacco and imposed hefty fines to those who offended the newly signed law (WHO, 2010, p.4).

Tobacco use is the cause of preventable and premature deaths across the globe and imposing a ban on the use of these products can be significant in reducing global mortality rates. About 46 million Americans are addicted to the substance and the majority of this huge population start smoking at the tender age of 18-years-old. As a society, we cannot sit back and watch young people perish while we can do something to rescue them from the dangerous addiction. Stopping Tobacco use can be a daunting task since one cannot quit smoking overnight. Quitting this addiction is a gradual process, however; the more patient we are, and the more people fall prey to the addiction. Hence, a ban can stop more people from getting into the problem. Cigarette and Tobacco products impose an ever-increasing financial burden on the society. The recent concluded research shows that approximately $194 billion is spent annually to treat smoking-related health problems and in less productive activities (Ash, 2015, p.2). Such amounts can be channeled to other productive projects and improve the standards of life.Tobacco contains 4, 000 toxic elements such as nicotine and cyanide and is dangerous to human health. Cyanide is a highly dangerous element and accounts for any pregnancy complication related to Tobacco use. The substance has resulted in many complex diseases and premature deaths across the globe. Quitting Tobacco addiction is next to impossible, hence; the use of the substance should be banned to prevent more people from falling into the trap. Almost every person has been directly or indirectly affected by smoking in various ways such as financial constraints and loss of loved ones. The rehabilitation programs of Tobacco users are quite expensive, and only the rich people in society can afford to enroll in the programs. The cons of Tobacco use are way above the pros; hence, a ban on Tobacco use can be significant in improving human life in numerous aspects. Conclusively, Tobacco use should be banned to rescue people from self-destruction and promote human health.
