Introduction
Worldwide medical problems call for global cooperation and participation in response, prevention, planning, preparedness, and care that reflects the values of various issues concerning health in equity among all nations globally. These global health issues necessitate of extensive interagency and interprofessional cooperation and strategies of various solutions which involve non-profit, government, and also calls for the incorporation from foundations and private business organizations. Unlike in the past years, reacting to Global Health Issues needs a more comprehension of high level of extensivity concerning how associated we are in this day and age (Edmonson et al 2017). This brief essay paper will discuss the recently planned strategy-2016-2021 of global health on STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) by WHO (World Health Organization).
The mentioned strategy acts as a health sector reaction to STIs as fundamental to the accomplishment of global health coverage which is one of the critical health objectified goals distinguished in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The strategy, when embraced, its execution will add to an extreme decrease in new STIs and also cut down related infections deaths while on the other hand improve general public health (individually and peoples sexual health). It will act as an effort guide to quicken and prioritize more on counteractive actions. The strategy advances the approach of people-centered, grounded in standards of human rights, sexual orientation uniformity, and wellbeing value (World Health Organization, 2016).
GHIs don't exist in a vacuum; they are issues of high unpredictability that must be completely and thoroughly considered. These multidimensional issues require a worldwide coordinated effort, association, and assets, connected with an intense vision and genuine commitment. Nurses have high chances of impacting GHIs compared to other professions. Nurses can contribute as worldwide pioneers of progress by getting to be dynamic in the community; advocacy organization and policy-making; professional nursing organizations; and their working environments. Thus, there is unmistakably need to expand GHIs education and awareness among nurses not only for STIs but also for other Global Health Issues.
