Introduction

The teleological argument is also known as design argument, and it supports that God exists from the point that it is ordered. The argument provides the idea that the world creation contains so many incredible facts that could not have happened by chance; hence there must have been a creator. Teleological argument states that human artifacts are produced through intelligent design with a purpose; the world resembles the human artifacts; thus, there is a possibility that the earth is also generated through smart design for a specific reason. The earth has more sophisticated features than the human being with a chance of having an influential and knowledgeable designer. Teleological argument support that an intelligent designer created the universe because the earth supports life to enable the existence of human beings and other living things. Teleological arguments start with a much more specific record of properties and close with a conclusion regarding the presence of a designer with the intellectual properties required to design the things displaying the distinct features in question. Teleological arguments focus upon finding and identifying several hints of the operation of a mind in nature's temporal and physical structures, behaviors, and paths.

Many philosophers criticize and oppose the theories that try to prove the existence of God. Anselm received several criticisms from different philosophers. Gaunilo opposed Anselm's argument of perfection inviting his readers to think of the most enormous and imaginable island with most perfection. The fact is that no such island exists. However, Gaunilo comes up with his argument that people do not think of the most magnificent imaginable island as the island can exist even with other desirable properties. Hence it can be imagined that the highest imaginable island must exist. Those who defend Anselm's argument refute Gaunilo's idea saying that the island doesn't include the concept of perfection that must be included in the idea of God's existence.

Existence as a property is more criticized as not being perfect because existence is not a property. It is argued that something with non-existent property cannot probably have any other property. For an instant, a person cannot speak about the features of a mango that does not exist, saying that it is yellow, significant, and in a person's left hand, and it doesn't exist. Another way of criticizing the argument is that statement that indicates that if a property exists, there must be an existence of several things with the non-existing property. This statement is rejected and referred to as patent nonsense.

Atheists argue that God does not exist because the divine trait contradicts itself internally and also conflict with each other. Atheists do not believe that there is a being outside the universe. The attributes that define God indicate that He is everywhere, all-powerful, and all-knowing. David Hume fails to support teleological arguments because he claims that inductive insinuation does not validate believing in extended objects. Teleological argument states only the presence of a powerful being and not all-powerful or all-knowing being. Atheist believe that God does not exist because they wonder how God could create a rock that he cannot raise by himself.

Conclusion

In conclusion, my stand is that there is the existence of an all-powerful being who is God. He created the earth and was present before everything else. What makes it challenging to discover God is because he lives outside the natural world. Atheists think that the world came from nothing, but can it come from nothing? The earth originated from a being, and it was brought for a specific purpose. God created the universe in an orderly manner, and that's why there is air to breathe, rain, wild animals in the forests, and plants g...
