Introduction
To reasonably complete my paper and attain the correct information concerning a company of interest, Orascom, I decided to interview one of the senior managers to collect both the qualitative and the quantitative data that I need to complete up my research. The CEO has worked for twenty-four year in the company, but with six years' experience working as the company's CEO. He, therefore, has got a vast knowledge on almost all the sectors in the company and I knew to interview him, would help in, to obtain consistent data.
The CEO began by asking me about the specific sector within the company that I was interested in getting information about. This took me back to the questionnaire that I had structured. I told him that my research was broadly in look or the qualitative and the quantitative analysis in the business. Just to specify further, I also included that some of the qualitative research that I was in look for were, how the effect of the leadership and employees in the company, efficiency on the models of operation and communications skills and techniques help the company to grow or how they were applied in what sectors and why? I also have a concern in the quantitative analysis in my research where I majored on the factor of time and how it affected the company growth and functioning during its operation.
According to the CEO, good leadership was at the core requirement of any company. He adds that Orascom has been able to advance progressively over the years due to the excellent and hard-working staff that have worked so closely with other workers to ensure success. He also stated that it was important for any company leadership board to have good communication ability and skills with the employees. "I am talking from an experience that I had personally witnessed in the company before I took over, that is six years ago, I also interviewed the retiring CEO, and my major concern was to know he maintained Orascom at its highest level." The CEO stated that motivating employees was yet another more significant issue to be granted lots of attention to maintain or improve the performance level of the business company. "you know, it enhances the team's morale of work and even those things that you may consider to be impossible at the board level, can be done correctly.
The CEO further illustrates that all the qualitative staff can never run successfully without the proper consideration of time, and figures in the company. He states that it is ethical, and it has been the long-term tradition of Orascom company to make clear follow-ups on the input and output within the commonly, clearly determine the best salaries that suits the employees, and check that each particular worker is scheduled for his/her own time of work. This makes the company run for 24 hrs. Without stoppage and this, the output can steadily shoot, which is the main aim of any business firm, as he states the CEO.
Conclusion
Overall, I expect that this interview will help me write my paper, specifically in the areas that involve quality and quantity improvement in the Orascom company. Moreover, the CEO also highlighted to me some of the other competitive firms, that used either similar or different methods, to achieve their missions. I wasn't so much surprised by the fact because I understood what market research was.
