These are aspects which are widely practiced within a country and includes time gender and relationships. Understanding different aspects of language in various countries have positive effects in improving cooperation and globalization in the world.
The Japanese language is one of the major languages in the world. Over 99% of the Japan countrys citizens use the Japanese language. With a population of 126, 702, 133 (July 2016), a majority of the citizens regarding gender are female representing 51.3% compared to 48.7% men. A recent survey done by the Japan times showed that almost 70% of unmarried men and 60% of unmarried women aged between 18-34 years are not in relationships. Time aspects in Japan is strictly considered since it is customary to be punctual. Embracing laisse- faire attitude to time as done in other countries is very difficult due to their time consciousness. In some cases of lateness e.g. by trains or vehicles, apologies are issued, and several steps are taken to improve on their punctuality.
On the other hand, the United States has a population of around 324, 700,000 people as at March 16, and 2017 making them the third most populous country in the world. Regarding gender, ratios majority are female with 50.6% while men cover 49.4% of the population. Relationship aspects in the United States show an average of 70% of the adults who are unmarried with 44% of the population who are single. Time aspects are often considered to be future- oriented. They tend to be not, so time conscious compared to Japanese who lay most emphasis on time management and productive lifestyles.
Courtesies and Social Practices
Courtesy is an act of showing politeness when relating to other people. This is paramount aspect during this modern time of interaction in trading and other business operations. Social practices include education, literature and other arts done in specific countries.
Japan has one of the unique cultures with the strict code of ethics which over time has overwhelmed tourists in Japan. These ranges from addressing people with utmost respect, observing hygiene and safety, practicing table manners and language. When addressing new people, they always speak in English since they assume they are a native English speaker until they prove otherwise. In the United States, they have a history of unified etiquette protocols. Observing of personal space, mode of greetings (handshake is preferred), proper hygiene and public transport courtesy are some the standard practices highly followed. With about 70-78% of the population being Christians and Judaism (around 1.6%), Islam (0.5%) and other faiths, U.S people always respect various religious beliefs since religion plays an important role, especially at presidential levels. Federal celebrations and secular holidays are observed, and sports is one of the favorite activities in the country with American football and basketball being the most popular. Naming conventions, meeting and communication styles is always observed.
Concepts of Business Practices
Japans nominal GDP as at early 2017 was around $ 6 trillion while the public debt was 245.80% of GDP. The Japanese financial reports is forecasted in quarterly basis by Bank of Japan. Japans finances consist of Abenomics package of economic policies which consist of monetary easing, growth strategies, and increased public investment. The funds over time have been in bad shape due to increasing ratio of Japans financial liabilities to its nominal GDB and also shrinking current account surplus. Japanese has in the past been considered as having worlds largest government debt load, but in recent research by Martin Schulz, a senior economist at Fujitsu Research Institute, it showed that public debt in private hands is falling the fastest anywhere. The shuffle of holdings from households and banks to the central bank is having a huge impact in reducing debt which currently is about twice the size of the economy.
United States finances include revenues, expenditure assets, and debt. The net worth is at least $128.8 trillion with includes assets of at least $269.6 trillion and debts of $ 145.8 trillion as at Q1 2014. Financial reporting is done on the quarterly basis in a financial year.
Workplace: Hierarchical Relationships, Hours and Days, Vacations and Idea Dissemination
Japans hierarchical relationship is mostly seniority-based where older people are shown the respect due to their more experience in life or business. Companies always held drinking parties so as to create a place for employees to interact with their employers. Soft expressions are used in addressing older colleagues at work. When disseminating new idea, they always observe their employers time and companys resources and other factors. An average Japanese worker uses 7 out of 18 vacation days given each year meaning that they work on decreasing available days. Vacation days usage is at the lowest point in the past four decades. Japans standard working hours depends on type and nature of job but mostly range from 9-5 working hours. They observe holidays e.g. New Years holidays and the traditional O-Bon Festival which happens on August 12-15 every year.
On the other hand, hierarchical relationship in the United States chain of command often supersedes personal relationships. Addressing senior members in the companies is always practiced, and professionalism is widely observed. In U.S, traditional working hours is 9:00 am to 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday. A study done in 2014 showed that just 15% of American planned to take a vacation, but 33% could not afford, 30% were busy while 22% decided to take a small vacation over a summer weekend. Idea dissemination is done through seminars where all staff of given company is invited, and they participate freely through asking questions and sometimes through direct conversation to their seniors.
Finances: Vendors and Strategic Planning
Japan commercial vendors are mainly registered financial institutions which include banks, insurance companies, trust companies and financial instruments business operators. This includes Development Bank of Japan and Japans Bank of International Cooperation. In strategic financial planning, the government has formulated effective fiscal and monetary policies which include Japan Revitalizing Strategy. These systems help in restoring the Japanese economy and in the long run improving real GDP, capital investment, and other economic indicators. United States commercial vendors include Berkshire Hathaway AXA, ICBC, and Fannie Mae. Financial, strategic planning for various federal governments in the United States is done by different departments. The Financial Management Services (FMS) is the federal governments financial manager, and they provide payment services to agencies, government accounting and reporting, debt collection and operating states collections systems. The FMS goals include timely and accurate disbursement of federal payments, a collection of federal government receipts and accurate financial information so as of improving the quality of financial decision-making.

Japanese government conduct government- business relations through various activities done by Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy and Trade and Industry. The ministries establish low-interest rates which reduce a cost of investments funds hence promoting the business environment. On the other hand, Trade and Industry regulate production and distribution of goods and services which ensure smooth flow of goods thus supporting the development of business enterprises in the country. United States government have in many ways assisted companies in funding their activities for example what Second Bank of United States did to businesses in early 1800. The government improved railroads which provided a highly efficient network for shipping freight and passengers and also assisting in marketing.

Japan geographically is an island in East Asia and lies South East of the Russian Far East. Russian Federation is the closest friend. Japans territory is 377,923 square kilometers. Japan is a major economic power in Asia and does their business with her neighbors which include China, South Korea, and Taiwan. The United States is number one countrys trading partner, and in 2016 they shipped US$645.2 billion worth of products around the globe. The United States is situated in northern America and borders Mexico, Canada and maritime borders with Cuba and Russia. The country covers 9,826,675 square kilometers and possesses several natural resources e.g. coal, copper, and lead. Among the top trading partners of United States are European Union, Canada, China, and Mexico.
Geographical, Political Divisions
Japan administration is divided into three primary levels; national, prefectural and municipal. The country is headed by a government and right below are 47 prefectures of which six of them are further subdivided into sub-prefectures. Municipalities are the lowest level of government. In the United States, the first-tier political division is the state. There are 50 states bounded together in a union with each other. The state governments consist of executive, legislative and judicial. The states are further subdivided into counties and counties further divided into townships.
