Cultural needs of Kareem includes being religious. The reason is that Kareem was praying several times daily and he believed that doing this would remind him of God throughout the day. Furthermore, his religion was demanding. Being a Muslim, he would pray five times a day, pray on a mat, and wash his hands, feet, arms, and face in the bathroom (WCM 620 Final Project Case Study, n.d). He belied that washing some parts of his body would keep him physically clean before he prayed. Therefore, it was his belief that made him behave strangely while in the workplace. He wanted an environment that would give him the chance of practicing his religion, as it was his cultural need.

ABC corporation organizational culture

ABC Corporation is so much focused on the productivity of the company. They are not concerned about their employees cultural needs. Therefore, when an employee is not performing, they just terminate him or her from the firm. The reason is that the technology industry is highly competitive, so the business has to focus on the after-sales services to ensure that the number of customers increases (WCM 620 Final Project Case Study, n.d). They want their employees to engage in most of the calls to win the recognition of performance. The environment of the organization is highly productive, and the workers need to work. Additionally, they do not have time for conversations as they have high expectations. The culture Kareem was practicing would not be tolerated. Therefore, the culture supports the employees who are production oriented. The company is always focused on getting the numbers up (WCM 620 Final Project Case Study, n.d). However, Kareem had five breaks in a day, which indicated that he could not answer many calls. Thus, his number went down.

Gaps between Kareems cultural needs and the ABC Corporation organizational culture

The culture of Kareem does not consider the objectives of the organization. The main aim of ABC Corporation is to increase productivity (WCM 620 Final Project Case Study, n.d). However, when Kareem is not performing well, it means that the productivity will reduce. This issue will make the company not to be ranked as a winner. As he practices his culture, he does not consider the impact it has on the organization he is working. ABC Corporation also has a culture that does not recognize its employees. The firm is productivity oriented. Thus, it always wants its employees to be busy in their cubicles answering the calls of their employees all day. Bias should not be practiced in the workplace because the United States of America has an increasingly diverse workforce (Bias has no place at work, 2005). According to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 in section, accommodate the religious practice on of employee unless the employer indicates that he or she is unable to provide the practice reasonably without going through undue hardship on the conduct business of the company (Robinson, Franklin, & Hamilton, 2011). Therefore, there is a gap in the accommodation of the employees cultural practices.

Recommendations of strategies for ABC Corporation to meet Kareems needs while still maintaining performance expectations

ABC Corporation should input a culture that will accommodate all the employees. The reason is that there are some religions in America. Furthermore, to ensure that he works efficiently as the company is productivity oriented, they should give him a target of the number of calls he is supposed to meet in a day. Through this, he will be able to work towards the companys goal as he has several breaks throughout the day to pray. Additionally, they can tell Kareem to report to work early so that he meets the goal. He was competent in his job as the customers were satisfied with his services.
