Introduction
A healthy lifestyle may be referred to as a lifestyle that aims or helps to keep and improve people's health and wellbeing (Petrash, 5). A healthy lifestyle makes people make healthy choices spiritually, physically, and mentally (Steffen, 13). In our day to day life, we encounter many people who think that they are living a healthy life while in fact, they are not. An unhealthy lifestyle has been in the increase, and it is considered as one of the leading causes of different diseases such as obesity, stroke as well as heart diseases. The main aim of this research is to write an essay that gives people advice about living a healthy lifestyle.
A healthy diet is one of the essential requirements of a healthy lifestyle. One must eat well if they want to live happily and avoid different complications as well as diseases (Steffen, 14). A healthy diet is a diet that includes different kinds of things, such as vegetables and fruits. One should ensure that whole grains, lean proteins, as well as foods rich in vitamin D and calcium, are consumed. This ensures that these individuals are well equipped, and they are not at risk of getting or being affected by different diseases because their immune system is well boosted (Petrash, 7). Another important step in achieving a healthy diet is understanding that one does not necessarily need to switch at once from the original foods enjoyed to foods like vegetables and whole grains. People should be educated that they should adjust slowly to these products, and this is done by ensuring that one reduces the original foods enjoyed as they increase healthier foods such as vegetables and fruits.
For people to have healthy lifestyles, they should include physical activities and exercises in their daily programs. This includes making schedules and plans which one should use so that they have an individual fit body. These physical activities may consist of going to the gym or even doing simple exercises. Some of the simple exercises which everyone may try include pushups, pull-ups, elliptical training, and running. This ensures that a fit body is maintained as an individual is active on a daily basis and involving in different work out programs ensures that the likelihood of getting diseases is reduced and therefore achieving a healthy lifestyle (Steffen, 15). Physical exercises and workouts ensure that the body can adapt to different environments, avoid excessive cholesterol in the body as well as decrease the likelihood of having diseases.
Stress management and weight management are also crucial in ensuring that people live healthy lifestyles. In most cases, people who have stress are fond of involving themselves in different activities such as excessive smoking and other kinds of drug abuse, such as drinking alcohol. These cases lead to unhealthy lifestyles, and therefore, one should be able to manage stress effectively so that they live a healthy lifestyle. Weight is also a crucial element in healthy lifestyles. Some people are usually overweight, while others are underweight(Petrash, 8). This is mainly caused by acts such as stress or even bad eating habits, which lead to people either being overweight or underweight. People should manage their weight appropriately so that they live a healthy lifestyle. Other things that one can do to live a healthy lifestyle include drinking a lot of water, visiting the doctor regularly for checkups, having enough sleep as well as maintaining personal hygiene.
Conclusion
A good and healthy lifestyle can only be achieved if one takes responsibility for every action. People with healthy lifestyles are seen to be free of diseases such as heart diseases, stroke, diabetes, and even obesity. People should eat healthy diets, involve in regular physical exercises as well as be able to manage stress and weight. People who do this enjoy their lives as they can perform different activities without any complications.
