A SWOT analysis is one of the key methods of analysis individual personal performance regardless of the context that one may find themselves at work. A SWOT analysis is composed of strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats.
Some of the strength that I possess may include, high skills in the Information Technology sector. I am also qualified to handle a high level clearance information in regard to computer security in the workplace. I have worked in the IT sector for the past four years. Some of my core values include integrity, honestly and hard work. as an I.T manager I have been able to help my company cope improving and developing new applications in managing overall work at the institution.my core value at the institution is to improve the IT sector.
As an IT expert I mostly try to avoid chances of insecurity such as cybercrimes and loss of data, in recent years there has been high rate of cyber-crimes which is experienced, this id due to advanced and latest technological resources in which my organization has not been installed to our system. I was appointed as an IT manager after completing my degree and there is need to increase my level of education in the ever changing (Murphy, 2014).
I have on the latest and most secure way in storage of data by employing cloud servers which perform high functionality in secondary back up. My institution has been growing due to good networking and my managerial skills has helped in socializing with different interested parties in the organization .my organization is in need of new devises to improve the work output in my company, increased level of competition from my fellow organization hence there is need to improve and update the technology level of organization.
Question two
Stress is when one is put under pressure which requires critical thinking, I have experienced stress at work place at certain occasions, this is mostly caused when some of my employers misconduct themselves in unprofessional ways hence affecting work output in the company, this is where by some employers are fond of coming late to work. This affected me negatively by making me angry, in which most of the occasion I first warn my employer and do remind them of the need of managing their time well and they should be able to come to work early. At some points I fire some of the employers if they continue coming late to work or continue misconducting themselves in unprofessional manner.
A disease is a condition at which the body react abnormally due to disorderly functioning of the body, this is another stress causing factors this I because it caused in decrease in work out put in my company. According to Karimi et al., (2004), there are instances where my employers and I have affected negatively the work outcome in the organization because they have to stop working and get immediate attention by the doctor. I have also been sick at some point at work and this has affected my company negatively hence decreased work force and thus works output. This is because diseases also affect persons around us. After there was a need to visit the doctor to be treated and return to work to replace the lost time that I was away from work.
Question three
Emotional triggers consist of feelings events or even thoughts that seem to trigger some form of response from individuals. Some of my emotional triggers include finding out that an individual betrayed me. I always expect y colleagues and friends to be honest with me. I normally feel angry when I get such information. The other emotional trigger that I have is joy. When I experience success, I tend to feel joy. I normally feel that I am joyous when I expect a victory or remember a past triumph. There are various strategies that one can implement in using emotional triggers to achieve a positive outcome. One such method is accepting and comprehending the reactions to the emotions. One should make a choice as to the form of life one would live if they are in a position where they are in control of their emotions. The second strategy to change to a positive outcome is to recognize that one is having an emotional reaction especially as soon as the reaction to the emotion begins to show (Brownell, 2015).
Question four
Work ethic is one instances of modeling workplace behaviors that can be used to demonstrate management of emotions in an organization as an example to others to follow. In any organization, employees are known to take cues from a variety or behaviors that are displayed by the top management. Ybarra et al., (2015) notes that the work ethic of a manager in the organization has far reaching impacts. Employees in an organization tend to model the behavior of their managers especially when it comes to leaving early, arriving late or taking reasonable breaks. A good instance in this circumstance is when the manager of an organization leaves their job early. Some employees may also take the opportunity to sneak early and thereby may decrease the outcome of their job performance.
Question five
One of the actions taken to improve emotional intelligence in the organization on the basis of feedback from others or self-reflection may include social awareness. Social awareness can be defined as the skill that one acquires that is necessary to pick up nonverbal cues that other individuals constantly send. In most instances, the verbal cues that individuals send normally speak to the emotions that they are experiencing. When other persons send out nonverbal cues as them, then one is in a position that they are able to read and comprehend the joint experiences that the persons in question are in. one should be able to pay attention to what they feel emotionally since listening to other people illuminates their feelings and values.
The second action to undertake is self-management. In order for an individual to engage their emotional intelligence, there is need for them to first use their emotions to make decisions that are constructive based on their behavior. When one becomes very stressed, then their emotions may take over control over the decisions that they make. If one loses control over their emotions, then they cannot act appropriately and thoughtfully.
It is vital to comprehend the four attributes of emotional intelligence. The attributes include, self-awareness, self-management, self-awareness and relationship management. It is vita; to comprehend how these attributes affects an individuals life since they affect the performance of an individual at work or school.
