Critique- Not every child would indulge in gender-based practices as theorized by Emily Kane. In some exceptional cases, some children never change. They maybe boys but portrays girlish characterizes and vice versa. Thus gender is not directly proportional to activities performed by either a boy or a girl as assumed by the research conducted by Kane.

The most interesting issues I came across are the assumptions that; first, boys should be tough, aggressive and be born earlier so as to take care and defend their younger sisters imperatively. Holding all aspects constant according to detailed research in place currently, then it is documented that if both boys and girls get equal chances to compete on their own either of them will achieve what the other could reach in any given field without the infliction of gender biases.
