Neurological Features and Functions

Within the brain, hippocampus plays some key roles, i.e. formational, organizational and new memories storage as well whereby some emotions and sensations to these memories are being connected.

There are various neurological features and their functions. For instance, the subregions of the hippocampus plays some roles concerning memories it involves the processing of spatial memories through the rear part of the hippocampus. Secondly, hippocampus also helps in the memories consolidation during asleep whereby according to research some hippocampal activities while asleep leads to better memories in the following day. Moving further, the hippocampal amnesia which aid in the provision of essential insights into the organization of human consciousness, brain instantiation as well thus any damage to this part of the brain may result into a profound but amnesia that is circumscribed. Consequently, the primary function of this memory is to represent information about people's co-occurrences of people, things and places with their interaction relationships usually include social context and personal awareness. Other than that, the perirhinal cortex and parahippocampal cortex can support item thus aids in the coordination of elements that involves our daily interactions.

Additionally, concerning the relational representation, there are two hallmark features, i.e. the binding of arbitrary relations aids in the durable past experienced representation. Furthermore, the flexible experience coordinates the reconstruction, search and information recombination contained within them. As a result of this flexibility, information can now be searched and accessed across processing systems. Moving further, the flexibility in nature of relational memory also creates some intimacy as far as memory literature is concerned and hence past events can easily be reconstructed. Worth mentioning, since neuronal cells types are always neatly organized into layers within the hippocampus, this has made it be used as the model system for the study of neurophysiology

Frontal Lobe

The frontal lobe has been discovered to be part of the brain's called cerebral cortex. According to the division, the paired portions have been divided into the left and right frontal cortex. Notably, the frontal lobe is located in the front of the head. Other than that, it is also found under the frontal skull bones. Fundamentally, according to a scientist this is the last part of the brain to evolve. And as a result, this has made it new about its structure. The frontal lobe is almost being posseted by all mammals whereby the size and complexity go with the type of species. Worth mentioning, according to scientist primates have been discovered to be having larger frontal lobes compared to many other mammals.

Looking at it critically, to the right side of the body muscles are usually being affected by the left frontal lobe. Other than that, on the left side of the body, the right frontal lobes control generally muscles. Therefore, this can clearly demonstrate how the body is being affected by the injury of the brain.

However, the frontal lobe in collaboration with other brain regions works to control the function of the brain overall. For, instance, memory formation is being done by sensory input which in return lies in numerous areas of the brain, and thus any role of the mind can never be attributed to a single region.

Neurological Features Functions of the Frontal Lobe

With the aid of Broca's region language and speech production has been managed, it helps put thought into words. Unfortunately, any damage to this part of the brain may deny one able to speak and understand the language or make a speech that is meaningless - secondly, the motor cortex aids in walking and run as voluntary movements. Thirdly, frontal lobe helps in object classification or distinguishing one object from one to another. Other than that, long-term memories are also being made by frontal lobe. Additionally, attention management is also being done by this part of the brain fails to which some conditions such as attention deficit disorder may arise .lastly, most of the mind sensitive neurons are within the frontal lobe hence motivation, this is supporting reward and feelings.

Along similar lines, there is also executive control; this is meant to measure our ability to change with environmental responses instead of physically reacting to whatever is in front at a particular time. Other than that, it also controls our thinking to avoid distractions by our thoughts. Within the frontal lobe, there is inferior frontal gyrus and the temporoparietal cortex; this makes one to rapidly do something even if it is not towards an achieving goal.

Parietal Lobe

This is one of the four central portions or regions of cerebral cortex. Fundamentally, these lobes are critical to the function and processing of sensory information's, and it coordinates body awareness and spatial orientation understanding.

Neurological Features and Function of the Parietal Lobe

There are various neurological features and functions of the parietal lobe. The somatosensory cortex is usually essential for touch sensation processes. Moreover, the somatosensory usually helps in the identification of the location of a touch whereby sensations such temperature and pain can easily be discriminated. Secondly, neurons within the parietal lobes usually aid in receiving contact and other sensory information through a brain part called thalamus. Other than that, other regions such as motor cortex and visual cortex also play some role. For instance, combing your hair, the opening door also the proper position of limbs and tongues is work being done by parietal lobes. Moving further, they are also significant for adequate navigation and spatial orientation understanding. Therefore, it assists in body positioning, location and body movement as well. And lastly, it also helps in visual perception, mathematical computation, reading and writing. To wind up, the Cerebral Cortex Lobes which is a thin layer that covers the cerebrum its work is to interpret and process sensory information to guide in decision making and capabilities of solving problems.

Amygdala

Amygdala is usually located is usually located in the in the temporal side of the lobe of the brain. Notably, it is an almond-shaped section of nervous tissue. Evidently, for every person, there are two amygdalae with each on every side of the brain. Regarding research, they are believed to be the part of the limbic system meant for emotions memory and instincts. The organ is responsible for emotion perceptions such as fear, anger sadness as well. For instance whenever a dog has bitten one, usually it creates anxiety and alertness around dogs. Consequently, this would mean that, the amygdala is positively correlated with increased aggression, physical behavior as well.

Regarding sexual activity in humans, amygdala plays a role in sexual activity and libido, or sex drive, in consideration of size, shape and age it can change the operation of the hormonal activity and particular gender. For instance, low testosterone in males or male castration usually tend to have smaller amygdalae and in return leads to a lower sex drive. Along similar lines, this is the most understood regions of the brain about sex differences. In males, the amygdala is more significant as opposed to females', i.e. adult humans. This has also been evident regarding structures and function of brain differences in both male and female's .on the other hand, females tend to retain stronger memories compared to men who do very little.
