Most people were becoming disgruntled with how they were being ruled. Trouble was evident, and a rebellion seemed inevitable, and by 1774 there were signs of war. The England Congress passed a couple of controversial acts which were not well received by the majority of the colonist. Most of the actions were well poised to extract money for Great Britain from its colonist. And this was meant with a lot of resistance. The country was passing the laws because it had spent a lot of money on the Indian and also the French War. It had increased the debt of the country, which needed to be repaid. However, parliament claimed, to have fought the lengthy war using a lot of its resources. And to safeguard the Americans from the threat of French who were in Canada.

Besides, it said there were no reasons not to tax the colonist as it was protecting them from their enemies. The people, however, believed that Great Britain only interest was to expand its empire, thus increasing its wealth. They were also not happy that they did not elect their leaders. And that they were chosen by people who were far from where they lived that is in England. Therefore, they did not feel represented and began forming alliances with a common goal. And their rallying slogan became "No taxation without representation" (Cummins et al. 56). They sought to control the power that was mandated to the governor and officials who were very corrupt. The residents feared the growing population of the Africans and Native American Indians. They thought those two groups might become dominant and support Great Britain as they were viewed as low in the community and despised.

However, the final blow came in June of 1774, when the then Governor Josiah failed to honor a meeting called by Massachusetts legislature. It was meant to discuss issues affecting the people (Mullin et al. 22). He was unable to choose delegates in time to go for the meeting in Philadelphia. The colonist felt betrayed and resulted in solving their issues. And during the April of the year 1775, the loyal British soldiers exchanged gunfire with the colonist militia and a war began in Massachusetts (Cummins et al. 67). It turned out to be a revolution that led to the formation of a new nation.

Finally, it is essential to note that sometimes, a revolution is ideal as it can be the last option to seek justice and democracy. In most countries, especially those who have had a brutal ruler have been forced to have a rebellion. They have had to suffer to gain and resolve their issues through fighting. However, the revolution should be the last option in obtaining democracy as diverse negative impacts characterize it. Finally, it is essential to note that all the people did not support the rebellion, but it affected everybody.
