The narrator seems to have a good attitude towards work, and this is evident in the way he expresses the life of the persona. The narrator explains that how the persona was a hard-working business person moving from one corner of the nation to another. The narrator explains how the persona loves working from his office while at the same time maintaining his love for his son. Later, the narrator also explains how the persona maintains a working attitude while working as an inspector at the nickel mines near Sudbury. The narrator also preaches the need for truth regardless of the situation of any person. The persona believes that by telling his son, the truth about his drop from stardom is the best thing to do.
