Introduction
If given a chance to choose my destination for a vacation, I would choose Italy. The reason why I would choose Italy is that I have never been there before and I have always wanted to go there to see the beautiful sceneries. I would also love a vacation experience that has everything from history, culture, great food, and thrilling attractions, which Italy offers. There are many beautiful and delightful places to visit, from the lively capital of Rome to the beautiful lakes and the Italian Riviera. The stunning Dolomites in the northeast to the Italian Alps in the north offer a playground for hiking, biking, and skiing. Among the valleys of these majestic mountains are some of the most attractive lakes all over Italy. Therefore my dream vacation is to visit Italy and enjoy the plenty stunning destinations and meet some of the local people and get a chance to eat Italian food and learn about the Italian culture and few Italian phrases.
Visiting Italy shall give me the chance to immerse myself in the fascinating culture that is found in this beautiful state. Although there are many exciting destinations, I will enjoy spending time like the Italians by indulging in delightful cookery, shopping for the latest fashion, delight in plentiful festivals and entertaining alternatives, see the sights the stunning sceneries and construction, and tasting one of the Italian made wine, which shall be an unforgettable experience (Russell 289). I would visit Rome, which is a city like no other in the world. Although Rome wants to be a modern 21st-century city, it is dreadfully attempting to keep the historical remains and monuments from collapsing. The town is an extensive archeological excavation that continues to discover about 2,800years of history (Russell 289). Rome has a monumental duty of preserving its past. The ability to walk through the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, where Julius Caesar, Nero, and Romulus ruled is an exciting walk back in time. Therefore, Rome fulfills my desire of enjoying a vacation by providing great food, historical monuments, the great gelato, history, and architecture which makes Italy my perfect vacation destination. As a bonus, I will also be able to visit the Vatican City, which is a beautiful educational and religious destination. My dream is to visit the great city of Rome before the monuments collapse since they cannot last forever.
Italy is also a country that is incredibly rich in fascinating history, which shall give me plenty of things to explore and learn. They range from places of worship to arenas, forums, and pizzas that every city in Italy provides. I want to visit Florence City since it is of the right size, which makes it one of the most walkable cities in Italy. The heart of this city lays in the magnificent Duomo, also known as the Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, which I shall not miss. Florence is the lawful origin of Regeneration and is loaded with exciting museums, the Uffizi and the Galleria dell' Academia, and fine arts and structural design (Russell 289). Some people argue that Florence is the most beautiful states in the world, making me more attracted to vacate to Italy, as it has buildings that are colorfully decorated and are built-in fascinating old and modern designs.
Italy is a place of a wide assortment of varied environments, thus getting the perfect place for my vacation will not be difficult. I will explore the busy cities such as Rome, the capital city; relax in spectacular regions such as Lake Garda and Lake Como, and spend some time playing in the pristine beaches. Visiting Cinque Terre, the newest spectacular spot in Italy that became known to America about three decades ago will be interesting. Cinque Terre is a coastal region of Italy that consists of five villages that are all exclusive and connected by a network of trails varying in distance and difficulty. This shall give me a chance to hike through the villages and interacting with the locals. However, there is also a train and a ferry system that connects all the five villages except for the one that is rested high on a cliff above the sea known as Corniglia (Russell 289). I want to visit Cinque Terre villages which are made of apartments, and small hotels which provide seafood to enjoy fishing, see farming techniques used in the terraced hillsides of the coastline.
According to the researches I have done most people who have taken a vacation or visited Italy say that they have had enjoyable meals, which include stopping on the rest stops for a quick piece to hotel foods. Different parts of Italy have their specialties, but no matter the region, there is always a fantastic cuisine. I would like to have a homemade meal to relish with some locals. Many of the farming tour guides in Italy want to host guests for dinner. Therefore, I will most definitely get a chance to enjoy home cooked meal and interact with locals if I get an opportunity to have dinner with one of the local tour guides. Italian food ranges from the seafood of Venice, Sicily, and Cinque Terre to the homemade pasta of Tuscany (Russell 289). I shall also enjoy the excellent salami, prosciutto, and cheeses of a classic antipasto and eventually try a pesto pasta dish in Cinque Terre, where basil, garlic, pine nut, and olive oil originate. If I get a chance to visit Sicily, I will enjoy trying an arancino, which is a mixture of tomato sauce, mozzarella, and meat enfolded inside a fried rice ball. For dessert, I will have to try tiramisu or the panna cotta with fig sauce. Generally, all Italian meals are offered with a good house wine that is locally made in Italy which will allow me to taste some of the elegant Italian made wine.
