According to Beckstead, these reasons do not give a strong argument on why one needs a university degree. This is because having a college degree is not a guarantee of having a job. Some people with more than one degree still tarmac seeking for a vacancy in firms. Thus, it is the work of the mentor to pass correct information on the importance of college education. First, they should convince learners that every field of study is indispensable. This is achievable through the increase of human understanding on various subjects that are looked down upon. They should make learners understand that each course has its own advantages and skills that are sufficient in tackling day to day decisions. It is from here that they will be able to know that the analytical skills they had gained in the process are greater than any degree being awarded (Kern, Alex).

Secondly, learners should be aware that university education helps them view the world differently by coming out of their comfort zone. Students should also learn that college education enables them to interact with their fellow students from different ethnical groups. Here they will be able to gain different insight from which they had no exposure. Hence, different insights gained will broaden their experience physically, grow them emotionally, and even expand their mental limits. With growth in every capacity expected, reasoning will also advance and they will be in a position to solve critical issues affecting most of them. Apart from advanced reasoning, a change of perception in a way they viewed certain societies will also change.

University education enables students to know of their abilities and capabilities thus, knowing and understanding their personalities. This will enable them to enjoy and learn about nature diversity (Beard, Sienna).

College education enables one to have more opportunities that will land one in high paying jobs. This is because first consideration by human resources managers goes to those ones with college education. College degree graduates are considered to have more knowledge and skills required than high school graduates. It's argued that college graduates always settle for white color jobs while the secondary level nonconformists settle for more technical jobs like construction. Through this, it is important to pursue college level education (Mcguire, Jeff).

University education helps people to be well networked to opportunities that influence their future occupations. Hence they can be able to make informed decisions that will benefit their professions positively rather than negatively. Higher levels of learning help students with selections of school or making decisions about buying a premises. This is because they know schools that offer the highest quality of education. They also know houses that have been built using the right procedures and standards. At the same note, they have sufficient knowledge on how one acquires any property to be purchased. University education also promotes self-discipline and cultivates study habits on individuals. Self-discipline will enable people to behave as required in their area of specialization. This is enhanced through adhering to professional rules and ethics in carrying out their work. They also know what is expected of them in the society and can match these expectations. Study habits will enable them develop a culture of reading that is constant. From this, they will learn and familiarize themselves with emerging issues in their areas of specialization and even the trending problems in the society. They will also be able to advise other people on how to make decisions that will benefit them (Mcguire, Jeff).

Education is important to individuals and the society as a whole. It helps people gain experience to do various jobs, expands their level of knowledge and also enables them adapt to habits that are expected of them in the society. It improves their standards of living, and also leads to the development of new technology hence promoting the lifestyle. The government's economy expands, and from there the lifestyle of its people improves. Parents should urge their children to seek their areas of interests in university rather than discouraging them.
