One similarity that exists between writing in humanities and writing in sciences is the format of both scientific and humanities papers. Writing in sciences is more of collaborative work, and it involves several authors. Most of the research papers in sciences are authored by several authors. The introduction part often introduces the topic under discussion, and it is often presented in a way that is captivating to a reader so that the reader may continue to read the paper. A thesis statement gives a reader a hint about what the paper intends to address. In a thesis statement, a writer also tries to convince a reader that the claims he is trying to make in the paper are valid. The body part of a humanities paper contains an analysis of information and evidence with regard to supporting to supporting the thesis statement. The conclusion part of the paper often wraps up the topic under discussion by recapping main ideas that have been presented in the paper.
