Introduction
The Big Lie depicts the constructive and deceptive cover-up that the communist utilized to exploit and oppress the masses. As Hitler acknowledged, "The great masses will more easily fall victims to a big lie than to a small one, "many individuals that watched the international platforms were easily swayed by the elusive works of the communist leaders who preacher's peace but ended wars. It explores the transition of despotic and oppressive leadership from Hitler to Starlin, and the harsh condition communist subjected many individuals despite its principled ideology of promoting social equality, rights, and dignity. The film directed and produced by the United States Army to discourage many Americans to join the communism movement gained fame among the United States citizen and dominated many regions depicting how evil and conniving the proponents of communism were despite encouraging peace and prosperity among the entire citizenship across the globe. Therefore, the study focuses on critical assessment of The Big Lie, a 1951 anti-communist propaganda produced by the United States Army.
Communism is the philosophical ideology that advocates for the social or communal ownership of the form of production. It promoted the public ownership of wealth and property according to an individual's ability rather than according to the control of the means of production to economically empowered individuals. However, the anti-communism propaganda has continued to tarnish the name and ideology of the communism philosophy with many individuals stipulating that the movement is promoting a big lie that encompasses preaching or publicly declaring one thin while doing the contrary. For instance, the film exposes how the communism sold their ideology to man nations from China, Bulgaria, Poland, North Korea to Hungary, where they advocated for peace, prosperity and self-governance of the people without external interference, while really, they endorsed war, slavery and oppression among different countries. Due to its adherence to the Soviet Union, the American government which largely promoted capitalism spread the anti-communism propaganda to stop many masses from being recruited of assimilated by the communist that painted the authoritarianism, dictatorship and suffering as the hidden ideology of communism. The United States Army, an institution that all American citizens respected, valued and held in high regards became the master and influencers in sphere heading the anti-communism campaign and propaganda across America and the world linking communism with dictators like Adolf Hitler, Nazi ruler who killed and massacred numerous individuals in Germany. Therefore, not only inspiring and developing fear among Americans but also managing to promote hatred towards communism in America and some major parts of the globe.
Nevertheless, despite every ideology has its strengths and challenges, the massive attack of communism which majorly discouraged the western-centralisms promoted by Europe and America significantly divided the globe into an extreme divergent group promoting content wars and disagreements between the proponents of communism and the proponents of capitalism which encompassed majorly America and Europe. Moreover, the propaganda negatively portrayed communism as the peaceful dove that goes "BOOM" depicting the constant explosions and wars of the communist not really exposing the impact and effects of capitalism in exploiting and promoting the World Wars across the globe. Conclusively, despite the propaganda depicting communism as anti-peaceful or anti-progress movement, the capitalists continued to take advantage of human conditions to oppress and degrade human lives irrespective of having constitutions that advocate for democracy.
