Introduction
According to my point of view and based on the facts outlined in the Paris Climate Deal, the agreement was representing a policy move in the right direction of reducing climate change as a result of emission of gases to the atmosphere by industries in different countries (Robbins, 2016). The Paris agreement was a policy on the right direction since it commences by uniting all nations together and builds conventions with a common cause to carry-out ambitious struggles to combat the changes in climate and also adapt the climate impacts, with superior support to help developing nations to practice climate prevention through reduction of gases emitted (Obergassel et al., 2015).. The agreement remains in the right direction since it has an objective to strengthen the global warming responses to the threat of climate variations by ensuring that they maintain the temperature rise below 2oc. More so, the Paris agreement set a policy to strengthen the potential of developed and developing countries to deal with the effects of climate changes before it cause lethal effects in the environment. Based on the established and enhanced transparency of action as well as the support through robust, transparent framework indicates that the agreement was the right policy direction to meets set goals and objectives of UNFCCC (Obergassel et al., 2015).
The announce of Donald Trump withdrawal of U.S nation was not wise since his decision based only on the U.S, yet the agreement was to reduce the emission of gases in more than 197 countries (Robbins, 2016). Trump claimed that the agreement puts the United States highly at odds with the rest of the nation, but the deal did not levy undue burden to the U.S as President Trump argue thus making his decision not wise. Also, president Trump decision is unwise when he argues that he wants to withdraw since the Agreement permitted big developing nations such as China not to do anything to reduce their emission of gases until 2030. But the reality is that China had already made fundamental steps to decarbonize its economy with a pace to achieve the Paris Agreement targets before 2030 (Robbins, 2016).
The U.S nation should not go on with the president plan to withdraw since his reasons for withdrawal cannot benefits the Americans. Thus, the American businesses, organizations, and states should join up together and ramp up the efforts in a challenge to help complete the gaps and carry-out measures to mitigate emissions as per the Paris Agreement objectives. U.S should take effective and efficient strides to address the issue of climate change as guided by the Paris Agreement (Obergassel et al., 2015). In conclusion, withdrawing from Paris Agreement will leave the U.S behind from other nations such as China who are actively participating thus for the state to be at the bar with other countries it should remain in the Paris Agreement, and it will get more economic privileges that will boost economic development and growth.
