Focusing on understanding challenges faced by South Asian Students in secondary schools of Hong Kong, this paper aim to find out the problems that South Asian students who are doing their studies and living in Hong Kong are facing, with the rapid growth of the ethnic minority communities in Hong Kong, the numbers of children who are doing their studies in the local secondary school have in the past increased. Though despite their increase, it is identified that they still fall prey to unfairness in many different, through the paper with a focus of Southeast Asian, the paper will focus on difficulties and particular racial discrimination that they are going through in Hong Kong (Lee, 2006). The data will be collected through interviews so as to acquire first-hand information and even to understand the problem that they were facing so as to gauge their situation and view of Hong Kong. The interviewees are Kaynat and Zahra, from six students who are studying in Hong Kong. Through the interview, an expectation is raised to find a solution to the overall understanding of the overall situation of their South Asian students who are studying in local secondary school with particular reference to the challenges that they are facing inadequate support and racial discrimination through analyzing their social and cultural history.

T: May I know what is your ethnicity?
K: sure. I am Pakistan
T: How long have you been living in Hong Kong?
K: I live in Hong Kong for a long timeI am born in Hong Kong.
Have you experienced any racial discrimination due to your face?
K: um.Yes, I have experienced it, and it is not taking once, at least several times. Almost, that behavior happens in public transportation- MTR and bus.
Can you share your experience?
K: ok. Let me talk about the lately experience. One day, I take an MTR in Yau Ma Tei There is a couple of seat beside me. Before I take a seat, I found out that they glance me with the rude face. I feel so weird, but I ignore them. However, I heard that they are talking about me in Chinese. They laugh my race color and my smell and use a sharp word abusing me.
Have you blamed them?
K: No. I just call my friend and talk with her in using Cantonese
Then, what happen?
K: no, they just shut up.
Analysis:
Kaynat word show that she has experienced a lot of inequality in Hong Kong even though she lives in Hong Kong for a long time and speaks a fluent Cantonese, it has shown that many people use their subjective to judging the ethnic minorities. Kaynat has mentioned that the couple laughs her skin color, dress, and smell which reflect that she always faced racial discrimination that is about her look. Another action reflects Kaynat is angry cause she called her friend and used Cantonese communicate with her.
E: Did you experience any direct inequalities like physical abuse in Hong Kong.
K: Yep and it happens in the transportation again. It is full of people in the MTR car, and I am stand in the little corner and talking my phone. Suddenly, one man push me man used his solder to push her and said her is very ugly
E: what is your reaction?
K: I just pretend I do not understand his word, but after I come back home, I just cry. I cannot accept this kind of behavior.
E: why do you think racial discrimination exist against ethnic minority groups in Hong Kong?
K: m..i believe that the problem is in the education and the awareness. People are subjective of ethnic minorities because they are not even trying to understanding our countries culture.
E: who should take this responsibility?
Analysis
Kaynat reaction reflects that she feels unsatisfied with the society. The experience showed that she is upset and angry because the man has no reason to treat her like that. Although Hong Kong is the culture diversity city, it still has a lot of inequalities case. Therefore, the government should put more effort of it and release this problem.

Zahra background:

T: How long have you been living in Hong Kong?
K: I live in Hong Kong for six years.
T: Do you love Hong Kong?
K: Um. I like Hong Kong because this place has a hope
E: Have you experienced any racial discrimination due to your face?
K: lift (use a weird to look at me), stay far to me showed me that
E: hows your feeling?
K: upset, and pretend I dont know what they did, I just ignored what they were doing and acted like I was not affected at all by the bad their negative act.
E: Did you experience any direct inequalities like physical abuse in Hong Kong.
K: not me, but I see the others in the MTR (the mother seem like Pakistan) she is baby car, but the man kick her
And offer bad treatment on her, just because of racial difference, the man fails to show respect and even for no reason to kick her. This is a serious physical abuse that is resulted by direct inequalities; it is not a good image to show disrespect to a woman when you dont share the same race.
E: hows your reaction?
K: use English to punish her and help the Pakistans mother leave, since the man was from a different race and was not able to punish her with Chinese language, I was able to use English to punish her and to offer good support the Pakistan woman.
E: why do you think racial discrimination exist against ethnic minority groups in Hong Kong?
The parents and the education
Racial discrimination is mostly generated through the educational system in Hong Kong that doesnt put much effort to fight racial discrimination. The education system assumes that everything is okay and little awareness has been created to fight such act. On the parenting side, parents have played a minor role when it comes to bringing their children with love for one another, since the parents are also practicing racial discrimination on other, children too tend to follow and emulate such acts.
Who should take this responsibility?
Ideally, the person who is supposed to take responsibility is the parents, in most cases, children tend to learn what the society is teaching them, more so from the parents. In most cases when children learn from the parents on how their parents are treating those from the different race. Additionally, parents are supposed to teach others about unconditional love, everybody is important and should be addressed equally.

T: Do you love Hong Kong?
K: I love my parents &schoolmates, friends but I dont like the society
T: can you tell me the reason
K: sure. I have faced a lot problem of my race
E Would you mind sharing your experience?
Z: I am f.6 now (summer intern) (interview) the interviewer asked me to remove the head cloth with the rude attitude. And she tells me you are the qualifier to this job if you take off your head cloth during the work.
Say no, dont receive any reply. It's a no since through a rude request is just a sign of disrespect
E: what do you think of her word
Z: not respect my religion & culture, the interviewer in her position doesnt respect my religion.There is no job notification that provides right for one to treat an intern in a disrespectful manner and any attempt to do so is a sign that is entertaining discrimination, and her words are rude with a total show of prejudice towards my religion
E: Did you experience any direct inequalities like physical abuse in Hong Kong.
K: not me, but I see the others in the MTR (the mother seem like Pakistan) she is baby car, but the man kick her
This was an act of discrimination, and backward tradition that is of no help, treating a mother badly in public just because of race different is so bad, no good thing can be gained from it

K: use English to punish her and help the Pakistans mother leave, by doing so a lesson is being taught to the public that racial discrimination is not something that a developed society is supposed to encourage .its peaceful to portray maturity and peace.

K: The parents and the education
Parents and education play a significant role since it is one of the primary reasons through which society is transformed, both parents and the education are to teach their children equality and power of loving everyone in the society.

K: The parent, society& education
The parents play a significant role in racial discrimination, and most behaviors children do inherit are mostly from parents, in general, parents are supposed to cultivate love in their children and teach them equalities. Through this, cases about inequality will be reduced. On the other hand, the society and education should create awareness on the fight against discrimination through a proper education that brings out students with equality and love.
Recommendation
Realizing that racial discrimination is a challenge and existing reality in that is creating a negative impact on the South Asian student. Ideally, this is becoming a serious challenge and even making the life of those who are being affected to be difficult. For a change to be implemented in Hong Kong in concern to the ethnic equality, the state is supposed to focus on the education system. Through the past research, it is recognized that despite the efforts that the government is making to support the ethnic minority students, they still face some difficulties in the education. Ideally, the education system is supposed to offer equality and even education towards fighting racism and discrimination. Students are supposed to be taught ethical values based on love for each other, and the significance of every human being in the society, regardless of their race. Additionally, the society is supposed to create awareness and education to the public on the ensuring a peaceful society through making sure that equality and equal treatment is preached to all (Bliss, 2012). Lastly, parents are supposed to be a role model top their growing children, in most cases, children tend to embrace what they pick from the society and mostly from their parents. Parents are supposed to embrace love and educate their children to offer equal treatment for all.
Conclusion
With racial discrimination being recognized as the exclusion, distinction, preference or restriction based on race, color, ethnic origin which has the impairing and nullifying human rights and fundamental freedom in economic, political, social and cultural public life. With Kaynat reaction of satisfaction with the society and other bad experience, cultural diversity in the city has led to a lot of inequalities case, and this is creating some of the new problems in Hong Kong that need to be tackled (Racial Discrimination in Hong Kong, 2006). Through the challenges faced by South Asian students in secondary schools in Hong, the research using interview was the best method to collect data, since it was able to acquire the first-hand understanding of the challenges the students were facing. The research played a significant role when it comes to deepening the overall understanding of the situation taking place in South Asian students who were doing their studies in the local secondary school. The result from the interview showed that racial discrimination is real in Hong Kong and something needs to be done through education and proper parenting.
