People want to access health services from their comfort zones. The trends facilitate the improvement of treatment and general health care by promoting compliance with treatment schedules and also upgrading disease control techniques through automated nursing and data transmission. Also, they promote excellent public health care awareness by enhancing better communication with the patients on different kinds of diseases and their control mechanics. The health trends have also increased average life expectancy across the world to about 80 years. The latter being as a result of understanding gained from these trends on causes of diseases, diagnostic techniques and treatment clearly outlined, so it becomes easy for the patients to follow them. Moreover, the chronically sick persons are also able to live longer (Rosland 2010).

The trends will help to improve the quality of health care services being offered in hospitals. As the patient are responsible for choosing how and whom to engage with for their health care services, the service provider needs to provide transparency on data formulation. As a result, patient welfare becomes the primary focus thus deeper medical investigations are carried out sand, so the quality diagnostic is published. Most of the health care centers are transiting to demand driven model (Coleman et al. 2009). This ensures that the patients are placed at the heart of the operation. The medical centers are collaborating with caregivers to surpass patient expectation thus ensuring that patients always acquire health care needed.

The mentioned trends have an impact on the federal and other state-sponsored Medicaid programs. First, the government will have a reduction in the number of persons visiting medical facilities in search of their health records. Individuals have easy access to their health documents online. On the other hand, the budget allocation for the chronic ailments has been increased by both the state and federal governments.

Question 5

There is inadequate experience in providing care to Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN). For this reason, maintaining and implementing managed care for this group becomes complicated. Children have needs that change depending on their stage of development making it difficult to coordinate and provide their various necessities.

There is limited provider capacity to enhance the provision of appropriate support and services to CYSHCN. This special-group requires more attention and extra efforts are necessary for according support services. As a result, the latter causes delay in moving CYSHCN to managed care due to network insufficiency. Finally, the identification and enrollment of CYSHCN to Medicaid care must undergo well-established criteria which is time consuming and requires expertise which may be limited. The process becomes complex since it involves the indication of diagnosis techniques, and service analysis, among other registration procedures under Centers for Medicare and Medical Services (CMS) final rule (Wiemman et al. 2015). Medicaid agencies are obligated to ensure that they meet the needs of the enrolled individuals to accommodate their care planning, triaging, and care coordination.
