For centuries now, the story of Noah and his Ark is common among children. In fact, no one suspects its real meaning, and to a score, it is part of childrens stories. However, Noah and the Ark is part of what Moses wrote in the Bible, not as an entertainment script for babies but to encode part of the sacred science in the Holy Book. As a man of God, Moses wrote this story to those who wished to learn the experience he had on earth. From the Bible, the book of Genesis 6-8 expounds the divinity of the people and how God decided to destroy the filthy generation. God decided to destroy all living things by rains but saved a few who were considered pure led by Noah. God requested Noah to build an ark and take in his family and at least two of every animal. The rains started and cleared the earth and only Noah, his family and the animals preserved in the Ark survived.
Humanity ascended from Adam and Eve and gradually sank in evilness, cruelty, and barbarism. As a result, God regretted having created birds, fish animals and human being to fill the earth. Nevertheless, Noah and his family gained Gods grace, and his sons, Ham, Shem and Japheth became a generation after Gods favor (Finkel 46). After building the Ark Noah followed Gods instructions and settled there for forty days and nights as the Ark raised above the flood which prevailed over the earth for 150 days. On the 17th day of the seventh month, the storms subsided, and deluges reduced placing the Ark above the mountains of Ararat. On the tenth month, Noah would see the tops of the surrounding mountains from the Ark. He sent a dove twice to look for dry land where they were to settle. After removing Noah the Arks cover saw a dry place to settle down, and God instructed him, his family and all the animals to be fruitful and multiply on the earth. As a way of showing his gratitude, Noah built an altar for burnt offerings and made a covenant with God that He would never destroy humanity with floods again. However, many take the story as evidence that Noah physically and built the Ark. In fact, some tend to convey a historical account of the real worldwide flood. With this form of comprehension, you miss the importance of the story. Therefore, to get the intended meaning, you must decode the message Moses anticipated to put across. The Ark of Noah covers a mystical science in a typical manner. If you stick to the word for word interpretation of the stories in the Bible you are likely to miss the coded message since the Bible is not an exact historical book. The Noah and the Ark story is among the scriptures written to disperse a spiritual knowledge. For instance, Noah had lived for 500 years before he got kids who also breathed to great old age which contradicts the expected life span. Therefore, they are different meaning in every scriptural story which is symbolic. Lastly, this story is more of a warning to the rebellious generations and shows how powerful God is to control nature.
