The company is closed to communicate to the target customers through third-party communication resources hence limited to the efficient exchange of information with the customers and print marketing (Milani, 2019). Most consumers nowadays are dependent on digital platforms in making transactions. A company needs to introduce digital marketing strategies aiming at ensuring respectful, efficiently, and direct communication to potential customers.
Marketing Strategies
Over the last ten years, Digital marketing has shown a consistent rise. Various reports indicate that most adults spent at least 50% of their time on digital platforms. According to "TIME FLIES: U.S. ADULTS NOW SPEND NEARLY HALF A DAY INTERACTING WITH MEDIA" (Milani, 2019) Published 2009, it shows that American adults can spend at least 11 hours interacting with media platforms. The evolvement of technology seems to sink deep in our daily life at high speed. Use of artificial intelligence, computers, tablets and cellphones has caused a significant impact on the marketing field. The latest report shows that over 3.38 billion people are using social media daily, marking a growth difference of 288 million between 2018 and 2019 (Milani, 2019). Due to the presence of diverse information being exchanged online, there is a need for a company to shift to the digital world. Various tactics such as video production, social media marketing, and pay-per-click marketing, Downloadable content offering and search engine optimization are the different digital strategies to be used in marketing. A business should use B2B strategy to exchange business ideas, services and products over the internet with other companies to boost their service
Delivery. B2B business can help expose a growing business on realizing potential benefits. On the other side, B2C (business to consumer) can help in minimizing final cost as well as covering a large marketing area within a short period (Laurens, 2019).
Impact of Social Media
Digital media refers to a vast number of categories which can be broken down into various sub-branches. The most prevalence sub-branches of digital media are content marketing, mobile apps, banner ads, email marketing, websites and social media. Jeremy Greenburg states that "people are responsive when you can tell your brand history" (Laurens, 2019). Branding a company can be achieved through various means such as website marketing, social media, email and other digital marketing firms. Adopting these communication strategies in a business can help realize business success. Recent conducted surveys shows that, 53% companies use content marketing, 53% use mobile apps, 55% prefer banner/display ads, 69% make use of email marketing, 78% use websites to market their products while 81% extensive use social media platform to market their companies (Laurens, 2019).
Due to the limitation that the majority of customers are lack exposure to most marketing strategies, focusing on computer adverts, television ads and mobile devices can help reach large numbers of consumers with ease. Studies show that over 78% of customers get information either through mobile devices, computer adverts and television display/banner ads (Laurens, 2019). Adopting digital media in a business plan can help a business realize the high-income potential from diverse customers.
