Access to health care refers to as situation where an individual visit health facility to achieve the health care outcomes (Krieger, 2014). To access the good health care, an individual has to enter and health facility where he/she receives the services from the health care professionals. For decades, countries have been struggling to provide quality health care services to the citizens. However, despite the efforts to promote easy access to health care, several factors hinder equity in health care in U.S and the international countries. The purposes of the proposal are to compare the health care devilry in U.S and UK and to explain how to create global policies that promote access to health care despite the cultural difference.

U.S is the leading country with diversity in the world. In ancient time, many people migrated to U.S hoping to live better lives. As a result, the U.S became one of the leading countries with diverse cultures. The access to health care in the U.S has had problems because of the diversity (Krieger, 2014). Diversity in U.S includes the difference in social status, language, skin color, and gender. There are disparities in the access of health care in U.S where the rich can afford quality health care services from reputable hospitals. However, the lower class relies on the health care in public hospitals. There are disparities in access to health care between the minority groups and the natives in U.S where the white access quality health care. A survey of the health care delivery system in U.S shows that the health care professionals discriminate the minority groups and people of color. Most subsidize centers in the U.S are concentrated in the cities and thus countryside and small cities do not access well-equipped health care.

The UK and other developed countries are experiencing a complexity in health care provisions because of the rise in diversity. The diversity in the UK involves the many linguistic groups, people with different health profiles, and the diverse cultures. The difference in social statuses, color, and region of origin reduces the access of quality health care among the people of different communities. The access to services in health care in UK and U.S show similarities and differences. For example, the populations in both countries consist of people from the different geographical regions. Both countries experience disparities in the health care because of the difference in social statuses in the population, and the difference in race and culture. The government of UK faces challenges monitoring equity in health care.

However, though the citizens in the UK experience discriminations in health facilities, the U.S has the highest number of disparities because of the high population of immigrants. The federal government has attempted to improve service delivery in health facilities through subsidizing the cost of treatment in health centers. During the reign of President Obama, there was Obama care. However, despite struggles in the federal government to improve equity in the health care, the disparity persists. In the UK, the discrimination in the health care is unlawful (Gordon et al.2014). There are health care professionals associations in the U.K that attempt to address the cases of discriminations in the country.

Policies to improves access to health care

It is possible to address the disparity in service delivery in the health care in U.S and other developed countries. The solutions to discrimination in health care revolve around the policies governing the health care. There is a need to set policies that protect the rights of all people irrespective of gender, race, social status, and age (Gordon et al.2014). The government needs to embrace equality in employing nurses, and doctors in public hospitals. Improving the representations of the minority groups in the population helps reduce discriminations in the health care. The ratio of female and male health care professionals should be favorable. The fair representations of gender, race, and linguistics in health care help address the illegal discriminations. There is a need for collaborations between different countries to voice the issues of disparity in the health care. The victim countries need to give priority to the health of all the taxpayers.

Drafting of policies to address cases of disparity in health care requires the contributions from citizens to ensure effective implementations. The government needs to collect data from her population to understand the issues of disparities in the ground (Wallace et al. 2016). For example, the idea of suggestion boxes, where patient rate the nature of services in the health care should be a requirement in most health cares. The penalties for discriminations should be severe to discourage discriminations in all countries.

The social status should not cause disparity in the developed countries. The governments in the U.S, U.K and other developed countries should subsidize health care making it affordable to all citizens. The international countries should participate in making policies governing health care around the globe (Wallace et al. 2016). Developing standard policies that protect diversities will help reduce disparities in developed countries. There is a need to increase the representations of the minority groups in hospitals. The nurses in most hospitals need to depict representations from different ethnic groups.
