From the Journal of Engineering Volume 2013, it is evident that the construction industry is been faced with critical issues which are connected with falls that people encounter as they work. This called for many types of research to be done in order to find out the main cause of the falls and suggest some of the ways in which can put into practice to reduce the falls can be reduced. It has also called for the design of fall protection systems to reduce the cases. From the research article, the materials used to (or intending to) coming up with the system came from local dealers.

After coming up with the fall protection system, it was put to test after which an evaluation was made to determine whether it was workable or not. It also involved an addition of the standardization of the system. According to me, this was the best thing to do because other measures which are under used have proved to be inefficient and the fall cases have not reduced any bit. From the article, it comes out that a fall protection system was initiated in the year 2006 in Moscow Russia. This was as a result of the rise in the number of constructions taking place that called for protection mechanisms.

I also do agree with the literature review used while coming up the research report. It states that In construction industry, rates of fatal and nonfatal occupational accident are higher compared to others.(Rivara and Thompson, 2000). Most of the researchers also highlighted that the primary cause of these accidents is just falls. Among those who have contributed in coming up with a fall protection mechanism is Johnson who came up with criteria to be implemented on a wide scale roof construction.

The method used in coming up with the fall protection system was also on point in that it touched on the critical sectors associated with construction. The methodology involved doing some search over the internet and also using some key informants from the well-known international companies. All this was aimed at coming up with a system which was economical, practical and functional in all aspects where it would be applied.

In order to have an assurance that all was done in the right manner and in time, there were weekly meetings among the staff responsible for coming up with the system in so that they can brainstorm on some of the suggestions that they had come up with over the past few days. I also like the fact that the meeting involved experts in the construction industry and those who have done a lot of research which are associated to falls. They included the general coordinator, the site manager, project coordinator and health and safety manager.

At the end of drafting some of the things that needed to put into consideration, a final system economic and functional was established. It was based on the construction site at hand and had some of the solutions which were expected to come out at the end. In addition to this, it had some of the discussions made as a way of trying to a final agreement according to the set standards.

According to me, the final system that was was established appeared to be the best and the most perfect. It was fitted with enough panels to cover the entire floors in the working area. The modules used to design it were overlapping, and produced by local means. The new system has been under test, and many evaluations made to it. It has proved to be very functional as it has prevented many falls. Since there is a part of the FPSFHC which is open for improvement, I would suggest that it becomes more digitalized to have the ability of detecting falls before they happen for a more secure construction site.
