According to (Smith & Loonam, 2017) use of balance scorecard has enabled most healthcare staff to set achievable objective in allergy drug documentation. The set goals will ensure that the healthcare practitioners have enhanced accuracy in administering drug allergy. Moreover, BSC creates a platform where the agendas of the organization are prioritized. For instance in Drug allergy proper and accurate documentation must be the aim of healthcare practitioners. With accurate documentation, patient's records and progress will be easily accessible, and this will ensure that their recovery path is not derailed. BSC is, therefore, a performance measurement tool that focuses on translating organization vision and mission into all-inclusive strategically aligned measures to ensure that quality is enhanced. In drug allergy, BSC aims at ensuring that the outcome of documentation and drug administration benefits the patients involved in the framework. With BSC in drug allergy, each staff member must understand the roles and obligations in the healthcare facility (Yuen & Ng, 2017). BSC has proved to be one of the unique methods of measuring performance at healthcare facilities; it ensures that quality is delivered since it gives organization mission life regarding measuring it.
