In the year two thousand and two USA Army sent a group of Military officers to Germany where we served for six years. During our stay in Germany, we were lucky to have four day weekend that my friend and I would take advantage of having adventures to various countries. Every four days of the weekend Vega (who was my best friend in the Army) we could visit the different country at a time. We organized to travel to various places where our colleagues opted to go partying the whole weekend in the barrack. Vega and I packed our belongings for a four-day journey ahead of the time this motivated us to travel through many countries. The experienced we received was more enjoyable that just staying in the Barracks doing nothing or just getting drunk. A forty-six old Hispanic guy I was could travel around the world having an opportunity to see the beauty of various country compared to younger individuals in the Barracks that misused their time drinking.

Our first adventure was in Germany where we were stationed, and since we had no car to take us to far places, we visit a nearby city in Germany. The city we first visited Frankfurt, a city that is in the central Germany. From the station to Frankfurt we used an Ice train; it was my first day to board an ice train and enjoyed the ride. When we got to Frankfurt, we got in a hotel that was just close to the train station where we took our meals and got ready to hit to one of the local clubs in the city. While taking our meals, we asked one of the people who attended to us they know a club that plays Hispanic music and we were directed to a dancing club that was about four hundred and fifty meters away from the city of Frankfurt. We took a taxi that took us to the club. In the club, there were Hispanic guys in the club who enjoyed the music that played. The music in the club was among salsa, cumbia, bachara, and meringue. We stayed in the club the whole night enjoying the music and having fun. The following day we visited Taunus, a low range mountain range North West of Frankfurt, where we did mountain climbing. In the Taunus, we climbed to the highest point of the mountain which is twenty-five meters above the ground. Although the mountain climbing was tiresome, we still enjoyed and learned some of the skills required for mountain climbing. After the mountain climbing experience, we went back to the hotel where we could spend our night. On the third day, we packed our belongings ready to return to the barracks so as we could have rested on the fourth day and starting working without any difficulties due to fatigue.

The next holiday we spend in Spain where we visited Pico da Europa national park. As the day dawned, we had already packed our staffs and ready to go to Spain through the plain. We had booked a plane ticket to travel to Spain where we were to spend the four-day weekend. Vego and I set to move from the station to the Frankfurt airport and took our flight that landed us at Pico Island Airport. Though it took long for us to get there, we finally arrived, and because we were much tied for the journey, we could not go hiking the same day so we went for a hotel around where we could get accommodation for the days we stayed in Spain. The following day we took our adventure to hiking in the Picos De Europa. Pico Da Europa is a walking mountain that is located in the Pico Da Europa National Park which is twenty kilometers inland from the northern coast of Spain. In the Picos Da Europe, we had two-day long trekking around beautiful scenery of the high mountains. We explored the area in deep walks in the unspoiled and land landscapes of the western and eastern massifs. We also visited the inhabited village that was in Picos and interacted with the people and asked them some questions concerning the scene. The national park of Picos De Europe had a variety of wild animals that were reserved in the park. In the park, tour guides provided to us who took us to the Park where we could see animals not present in our country. We had an opportunity to have knowledge of how the animals survive in the park as well as the care given to them.

During our stay in the Barracks, I also visited Netherlands, Northern Holland to be specific I visited various places in Holland; the first visit was in Amsterdam which is the center of tourist attraction in the country. The place has beautiful and historic houses. I visited the famous museums in Amsterdam (e.g. Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank House, and Rijksmuseum). In the museums, I saw the interesting painting and arts preserved there that contained the history of Netherlands. In the museums, there were a lot of weird features in there an example was the creatures caskets, death masks, and pictures of funeral ceremonies and surrounding cultural death. I saw tons of parks, coffee shops, and the infamous red light district. I also toured the canal where I saw the Dutch correctly build the canal, and it stands to be an integral part of life in Amsterdam. I also attended the festivals in there where I witnessed the concert, shows, and markets of the country. I enjoyed the food, I have never had a bit of such beautiful and nutritious food than the one I had in Amsterdam.

For the six years I was in Germany, I was lucky to visit Bulgaria one of our four day weekend holiday given to us. My friend Vega and I visited Italy where we landed in Bulgaria and visited the famous Bulgarias Black Sea; we were amazed to find out that it has eighty miles of golden sandy beaches. We toured the old town and saw ancient buildings. During our vacation on the beach and visited the towns many historic churches and saw the remains of the Roman baths. We enjoyed the sun beds and sunshades at the beach. At the beach we enjoyed swimming, and the listened to music played on the beach as people swam. One of our lucky evenings, we visited a resort excellent entertainment where we watched a live performance by a gentleman by the name Ivan who was about 6ft tall with a nice line of physical comedy. Since I love playing golf, Vega and I visited Thracian Cliffs Golf and Beach Resort which is one of best places to get trained on how to play Golf. We watched as people played and we had a chance to know the rules that should be followed during the game.

There are other places I visited that made me have experienced and visited different countries in Europe that I found new to my eyes as well as attractive. I even witness different cultures around Europe, their history, and favorite foods in the places. I also made friends with people as I toured, viewed wonders of nature, and understood the creation of God. I was in a position to experience different climates and come across many types of vegetation that grow in the different country depending on the weather patterns of the country. These are some of the experiences I got while I was while in Germany as a military officer learned that it is important to have the precious time given to us adventuring around the world other than using the time drinking or wasting time. When I went back to my country after my service of six years was over, I had a lot of things to tell my people. Since I could not get that chance to walk around if I said to plan a tour to the places, I was grateful that the military department found it worth to give us four-day holiday. I learned that being around people who like to adventure is important since they provide motivation and one is motivated to travel.
