Aviation travel geography is a topic or rather a concept that aims at providing a learner with the up to date information on the airline routes, flight information health care in flights and climate. This relates a lot to the tourism industry as it is the main form of transport used in the industry. Use or rather application of geographical knowledge is fundamental in the study of aviation. For instance, the knowledge of geography can help an individual trace the major international routes within the international airline transport association, global features such as continents, latitudes, longitudes and time zones are used in the determination of flight periods as well as the safety of the plane at a particular journey. Longitudes are utilized by the officers and specialist at the station to ensure that they tell the accurate time that the planes ought to be reporting at the given destination. The GMT zones differ from one place to another, and therefore it calls for the airline officials to ensure that they provide the accurate timing to the passengers to make sure that they keep the best time in mind when traveling. Latitudes are used in the Thomas Cook airlines to determine how far or rather high the plane should be flown at a given time. Application of the geographical knowledge is essential in the sense that one uses it to determine factors such as longitude, latitude, climate and even the physical features.
