It is important to note that the key trends tend to shift the balance of power between the employer and the recruits which influence the relationship between them. One of the key trends is on digital and mobile interaction. It is perceived that over the past decades, the digital world has had a major influence on the attraction of skilled personnel and the advertising of recruitments. Aspects such as print advertising have been set aside due to the prevalence of the internet in addition to the establishment of job-boards (Hopkins Longworth, 2016). Furthermore, sites such as LinkedIn are slowly making the job-boards irrelevant. Most organizations have shifted to text messaging as a way of relating with the recruits during the whole recruitment process. Instead of using emails to confirm details, most organizations are utilizing SMS messaging to conduct activities such as informing the recruits on time and places for interviews (Hopkins Longworth, 2016).

Another key trend is the use of video screening which is used together with the CVs. Companies employ video screening in the application process as a way if familiarizing themselves with the recruits. It is perceived that the screening will soon replace the essence of CVs especially in companies with high recruitment needs (Hopkins Longworth, 2016).

Another key trend is the development of candidate communities. It puts into perspective establishing relationships with the recruits before the official sanction of vacancy. The idea is to obtain the best-skilled personnel within the shortest time possible. One method is through frequent online communication whereby the recruits are aware of what is expected from them, and the employers identify the people that they need in their company (Hopkins Longworth, 2016).

The Allegis Group is among the leading companies that offer staffing and hiring essentials for both the employers and the individuals looking for jobs. It also provides relevant opportunities to individuals for the purpose of bettering themselves before they enter the job market (Allegis Group, 2017). For the company to continue staying top notch in the provision of its services, it has to keep up with the recruitment trends that are currently taking place in the market. A site such as LinkedIn poses a threat since it allows an individual to update his or her information in addition to pictures such that when employers access the site, they have full details of the individuals. Therefore, to prevent being put down by such site, Allegis has to ensure that it aligns with the trends. The trends, in this case, include; ensuring active online engagement with the clients, using SMS messaging to update the clients on any important information

As stated earlier, the focus of the analysis is to look into the current key trends in the recruitment industry and to provide recommendations Allegis Group to stay competitive in the market. Some of the key trends include; the use of video screening as part of CVs, digital and mobile interaction and the development of candidate communities. It is important for the recruitment companies to keep up with the trends for them to stay competitive.
